- Welcome to my year long lip declutter series, Project Apocalips. I did a rough count and I currently own around 500 lip products, so in 2021 I want to test all of my lip products at least once and ask myself "do I need this?". This is part 9 where I focused on 31 lip stains.

I have bought a whole lot of tony moly lip shocking stains based on your rave review of them ages ago and I agree they are THE best! I choose them when I wear masks, visiting my nieces (as they are very hands on), eating out, when I can't be arsed worrying about my lip .... LOVE 'EM!!! the colours are just amazing too!

I find this series so helpful and it’s helping me reassess my current collection. It makes me want to make some kind of Venn diagram to select the shade of the day based on the shade and formula. Would love to see a wrap up at the end of your top faves out of all the categories like a March Madness bracket of lipsticks…the best of the best! Or the best in each shade or formula category. Kats favorite fuchsias and reds. 🥰🤩
I recently found out that I was double exposed to Covid. I'll be getting tested and isolating at home when I'm not working. This video had been a bright spot in my gloomy day.

I clicked on this video as I was curious what you thought of TonyMoly tints/stains as they are my fav! Cool to see you like them too. I have quite a few but only the older 'nail polish bottle' type ones. I am curious to try the shocking and blur ones now! I quite like the Labiotte wine tints but might be just attracted by the cute packaging. I have a bunch of Etude ones too, but to be honest I don't think I've used them in years... your swatches of them have shown me why - maybe it's time for me to throw them out. Thanks for the video!

Ok Kat, you did it, you convinced me to give a lip stain a try, I've got one of the Tony Moly stains on the way. She who never wears lip color (but wishes she did) is going to try one. I think the stain might be what I'm looking for because I need something where I can add lip balm when needed and not end up with a gross mess. I'll let you know if you've created a new lip color lover.

The shade Breaking News looks soooooo good! I don't like most lip stain red/pink shades on me, but I think that one would be perfect.
I just ordered the darkest blood red stain & the darkest unique berry mauve blur from your top Tony Moly formulas…consider me influenced! 🤣😅 I’ve been doing really well at not buying makeup this year until I started trying K Beauty lip formulas…I can’t seem to get enough! At least I’m self limited by only buying vegan products from cruelty free brands. So cool that Tony Moly is certified cruelty free now!

I have 2 of the Tony moly shockings, blue toned red and pink. (due to you) I truly love them. I have a few lighter tints as well. I haven't been wearing them because I was on the final phase of my braces and my lips were tore up!
But, I just got them removed, 2 days ago, and man, this definitely made me want to wear the red so bad. 😆

lol, the only lip stain that I currently own is an etude house dear darling tint and I can only agree that it’s horrible, it’s even worse than benefit’s benetint. I think I’ll get a tonymoly shocking tint with my next YesStyle order because I love the concept of stains, but have only had bad ones.

I know this is about blips but I love your crazy curls. They are the best💙 I think the Tony Moly ones you adore are very similar to Revlon Colorstay Satin Ink Stain are very similar… full pigment that settles and stays with a glossy top. Revlon probably stole the formula 🤨

hey Kat, have you tried the L'oreal signature matte lip inks? They seem to be a non shiny version of the tony moly shocking lips (from what I've observed from your video, I haven't tried any tony moly lip stains!) They have a really comfortable super thin texture that feels like nothing on the lips, with medium pigmentation (they won't blank out the lips but I find that to be really flattering). I own the shade 112 , an orange with a hint of coral, which I think you'd love. They're not transfer-proof, but they don't transfer much and fade really nicely. I'm one to wipe off and reapply before or after I eat a meal, so I'm sure how well they last beyond eating. The tony moly ones seem like they have the good features of the L'oreal ones but better longevity! I don't normally reach for bold lipsticks, but if I feel like purchasing a bold colour I don't own I'll definitely consider the shocking tints.
gosh, I love the concept of lip stains, but none of them work for me (including Tony Moly ones), I have permanent drier spots on my lips that no amount of lip scrub/mask/balm will make go away and they always get stained more than the rest, so the stain looks patchy T_T oh well, at least Kaleidos lip clays work for me and very easy to maintain too
Bummer! Yeah sadly if you have dry patches, stains will stain unevenly... no matter what brand you try

I honestly wouldn't recommend any for the cheeks, none of them are designed to be a multipurpose lip and cheek product and I would imagine them being very hard to blend evenly

Sounds like you have a very irresponsible government and I feel sorry for all of the people who lost loved ones when that could have been prevented. For the record, lockdown isn't quarantine, we can leave our houses 😆 but there are restrictions on what we can do, eg you need to work from home if you're a non essential worker, no visitors at your house, recreational places are closed, but you can still shop for essential items, go to doctors, parks, exercise outside, see friends in parks who live close by etc. Again, we aren't stuck in our houses for months on end. I literally spent the afternoon today with my mum and my son in the park eating pizza (while still obeying lockdown laws). I don't believe in God but I thank my government for keeping my state safe and as a result only having 10% of the covid deaths that you have experienced in Alabama, despite Victoria (my state) having a larger population than Alabama.

I can wear my lippies without fear of staining my mask, because I don't wear a mask, I wear a FFP2 respirators. Our government made them obligatory during the worst times, because they offer better protection. And I wear them still. A respirator has a firm shape not touching your lips at all. So I won't return to regular masks because respirators protect better plus I can wear lipstick underneath. (We don't have to wear masks outside in the open air, so I then put it down and rock that bright lip.)

Not really sorry! I recommend just testing out your foundations under masks and seeing which one wears best. Matte long wear foundations should in theory work best. Otherwise just bring a touch up
How do you find the Tony Moly Lip Blurs compare to the Kaleidos Lip Clays?
Kaleidos don’t stain, and the the TM lip blurs have more of a traditional liquid lip feel but leave a stain behind

How do you keep a lip stain on all day? Mine wears off like a lipstick.
Do you use the Tony moly ones? I guess it depends on the stain you're using and how it works with your lip chemistry. I don't do anything to keep them on, they just stay on!
@@KitschSnitch oh so lucky!!! But I discovered the creme shop popsicle lip stains. If I put Vaseline over the drain it’ll stay. But I’ll give it a try without it. Again lucky!
