How would you change the problem if there is setup cost instead of unit production cost?

Prof. Jim. Thank you for your video. It is very useful tutorial. However, I've some questions need to ask to you. Although inventory model is very common in production-inventory optimization problem. Is there any book guidance to justify your model in excel? especially for calculating total inventory costs. It is because there are a lot of inventory model developed with variant formula...

I don't think I would use this example as best practice for the inventory model itself but more of an idea of how to approach that type of problem in EXCEL. I'd research other resources for developing a more comprehensive model.

Jim, do you work on projects like this for other companies? I'm interested in developing an optimization plan for our company. Do you provide this type of service?

Hey! Thank you for your tutorial. It was of a great help but I had just a question to solve my own production planning problem. How can I add a constraint on the amount produced such that this amount should be a multiple of a number?
For example, I would like my amount produced to be 0, 100, 200, 300 or 400 but nothing else.
Could you help me define a constraint to solve my problem? Thank you

Try making a decision variable an integer, then multiply that integer by a factor such as 100 to produce these amounts.
