Love it
I love it its so good😍
me gustó!!
I've made two already! I love them.
love the pattern! is there a way to sew in a built in bra? for all the busty girls out there 😅
Yes you could just shorten the inner layer and add elastic to it under the bust. You could also add cups to that inner layer as well. Then the outer layer would just be hemmed.
Happy Birthday.
Do you prefer your overlocker to the zig zag stitch?
Where do you purchase your fabric?
I’m starting my clothes making journey and want to start right.
Thank you!
I always prefer the overlocker just because it's much easier but zigzag stitch works really well.
I get my fabric for my local fabricland from blackbird fabrics, simplifi fabrics the thrift store and sometimes fabric wholesale direct.
I don't know where you are but simplify fabrics has a lot of great Jersey spandex.
Have fun with your sewing Journey!
💯💯💯 🧡
Can you do it without the clear elastic?
Yes you could use other elastic, you could try it without but it may stretch out over time or you may have to make some adjustments to make it tighter 😊
I used normal elastic and it worked fine. but it is a little bit bulky. next time i will try the clear elastic, because i think it will be more pristine. but yeah, it works fine with normal elastic. however i would not sew it without elastic cuz it will stretch out over time ( i have some projects i did with jersey without elastic and they indeed stretched out)
@@Cestyoo thank you for your input. I will definitely keep that in mind ❤️
Loving the pattern so far, but I am struggling with the continuous elastic at the pivot point. I am attempting to use my serger but always end up missing the sharp corner and leaving a gap. Any tips?? Did I not cut into the legs far enough? (I realize it may be hard to address without seeing a picture.) Any general advice would be great, as I'm determined to get it!
You could sew the corner first even with a straight stitch so you are sure it's secure even if you miss it in the serger. 😊
Is the elastic on the straps needed?? I have everything cut out but wasn’t prepared for that part lol
You can do it without the straps that you may have to shorten the strap area.
I don’t know why but I find it so hard to understand how to sew the side seams! I have watched the video a million times and I have tried 7 times to sew the side seams and I just keep getting it wrong! It’s like rocket science for some reason!! lol. I keep making 2 individual shirt panels rather than a reversible 1 piece shirt! I am at my white end and finally about to give up and just add buttons or something up the sides so I can button the sides closed instead of making a truly reversible shirt, I guess it’s now a reversible side button up?? I don’t understand why I am so defeated by this pattern. Sooo many have made it successfully, what am I not getting!!!
Help!! Now for my 8th attempt at the side seams I have somehow successfully turned this pattern into a handbag!! Argh! What am I doing so wrong! I am, admittedly, a newbie sewist. I have been sewing everyday for a year, I am able to successfully handle slews of beginner patterns from both indie and commercial patterns. I have made a total of 45-50 garments thus far, this one is completely defeating me!

Thank you so much for responding Lydia Naomi. I am honored!! I am so sorry that I was so “lost”! I figured it all out! I had sewn the bottom hem incorrectly, so that made the side seams not work! I, honestly, struggled to understand your written directions, and the photos didn’t help. I am not color-blind but for some reason the shades of fabric you used for the example in your photos on the written directions and in the CZcams video look very similar to me, so in a photo that doesn’t clearly show what is happening and in the CZcams video, I was also unable to “tell” exactly what you were doing with the two panels, I was struggling and I thought what you had done was sewed the bottom seams of the two “main” fabrics right sides together, and the bottom seams of the 2 contrast fabrics, right sides together. Well, as you can imagine, this made the view of what to do with the side seam not “work”, since there was no circle for me to create and sew. I got so frustrated! lol. I finally sewed it, then realized I had created a purse because the bottom hem was stitched shut!! So I opened the entire thing out again, rewatched your video, and had the realization that what you did was sewed the “contrast” fabric to the “main” fabric at the bottom of each hem. Once I did that, the rest of the shirt came together beautifully!! lol. I “fixed” the wording on my printed out main instructions pages and now I am ready to make a million of these!! lol. I already have the dress hack traced out and plan to make that today! Thank you!!! I will post my makes on Instagram soon! @meghnamidlife on Instagram! I can’t wait to try some of your other beginner patterns, now that I have my feet wet with this pattern!
@@meghnagrover1045 I see where you were confused. Ill update that in the instructions :) So glad you figured it out!
what happens if i use fabric that is more flexible. for example can i use somthing a Lycra 82% polymid and 18% elasthan?
Just size down 🤗
Happy birthday!
