why didn't you use the spacer at the end?

I noticed that afterwards 🤦🏻‍♂️, it does go between the two flange bearings in the second gear. Refer to the 989 manual 👍

So for a later shift we screw in the screws with the springs?

Yes, please tighten the two 2.5mm screws evenly for later shift point.
