ABSOLUTELY LOVE this series, so out there but still grounded through human's, almost as if Human's somehow landed in this strange "land"? Is there a backstory on how Human's stand along with these "things", I would REALLY love to learn more about this "Universe", is there a book or movie or something that explains how these two "types" of lifeforms have come together? I always think of this as a Farscape (early 2000's SciFi TV series) type situation where human's got sucked through a wormhole or something and trying to make their way through a bizarre world of crazy :-) Please keep these video's coming, SUPER COOL!
I think for the most part, all of my videos are loosely part of the same universe, including the videos I have on my other channel Xinferis. That being said, I like to have my videos be open ended and not fully described, so that the viewer can use their imagination to filling in the rest of the story. I consider everyone’s interpretation to be cannon.
But here is one interpretation. What if human like lifeforms are all over the universe, but they didn’t come from Earth? Yes humans traveling to these places from Earth is definitely interesting, but what if all the human like lifeforms are actually native to the galaxies or areas explored in these videos? How could that have happened? How could there be human like live across the universe? Panspermia? But how did it get to different galaxies? Can life ultimately only evolve in a few directions and human like creatures evolved independently across the universe? I probably could come up with a hundred other ideas, but I am getting tired. :)
Damn Alpha Centauri sure went down the drain last time I visited.

Your work is true genius! It captures the ineffable horrors of otherworldly realms better than anything I've ever seen or imagined.
I understand that it takes time to work through various prompts and source images and ideas. So I'm not saying that this isn't a nice set of images. I'm sure it took many days if not a couple of weeks to create. But let's be honest. It's AI image generation. There's not a real narrative or attempt to string together the images with some kind of progress. You can even detect some images that clearly are using 60's Star Trek, Boris Karloff and some Hammer horror beauties. Cool, it is. Genius it is not.
@spectre.garden A lot of my videos do string the images together to have some kind of progress or to provoke specific emotions due to the order of the images. In this video although the images were ordered in a way to try to create pacing and variety, I didn't take that approach. It really depends on my mood what I end up doing.
If I am to be honest, I am more of a musician rather than an artist though. I do like making art with AI and have been doing it extensively for well over a year. I am into photography, and using AI to create images is like being a photographer that can travel the multiverse. Music is the real focus for me though. So I see these videos as a platform for my music.
Below are my two most narrative based videos if you are interested. They both take very different narrative approaches. It's hard for me to decide which to put first, because I like them both so much. :)

Another exceptional video-- more fascinating than horrifying. Do you use very specific prompts to get your image results, or do you use just general prompts and let the software produce a spectrum of results?
Kind of a mix. I usually have base prompt components that I experiment with and refine over time, and then I use them alone or in tandem with other prompts. For example I might create and refine a certain base style prompt that creates a style I like. Sometimes I might create some images with that base prompt directly, but I often times add other things onto that base prompt to get specific types of images.
Like the thumbnail for this video for example. I actually used something like "young female scientist next to a strange and horrific machine" after the style prompt. That image definitely didn't end up being a woman next to a machine, and it was the only image I generated with that prompt that wasn't. But I liked it so I used it anyway. This in turn made me try another prompt after the style prompt that was something like "young female scientist next to a horrific monster". I ended up using quite a few of those images in this video, and it became one of the defining elements of the video.
Keep in mind though, sometimes a direct prompt on top of your base style prompt text won't always create what you want it to. Sometimes it takes quite a bit of prompt engineering before it creates what is desired. And then other times, at least for me, it's just not possible to get it to create what I want.
Other times I will take that base style prompt and add something more abstract. For example something like "the underground horrors below the planet's surface". In this case you are kind of trying to light up specific virtual neurons in the neural network to create the type of images you are interested in. Sometimes this approach can create really cool things if you hit gold. Also if I do hit gold, I might combine it with another more direct prompt after it, to get something more precise, while still having the style of that more abstract prompt.
One thing to note is that while what I have stated works with most models, Midjourney 6 prefers having the scene specified very specifically. So if you don't direct it a lot, it will produce a low ratio of useful images (or at least useful for my purposes). So I still develop style prompt for Midjourney 6, and I might use another more "abstract" prompt on top, but then I add something at least somewhat specific on top.
With Midjourney 6, in many cases I just create the very specific prompts by hand each time, and direct things very closely. Other times I will use an LLM like ChatGPT to help come up with ideas for those direct prompts. I usually give the LLM a lot of detail about what I am looking for. I don't usually use the prompts I have it create directly either. I usually use it to help give me ideas on how to describe the scenes I have in my head.
Hopefully that gives you some ideas.

@marcusgabrielcomposer: I have been using it well over 15 years, and I love it. I used Ableton Live before that, and I definitely liked it too. I moved over to using Logic exclusive to keep things a little more focused.
