Of all the MMO's I have ever played, this one has the best atmosphere and storytelling to it.

The Orochi Group is from another one of Funcom's games, The Secret World. For those that don't know about the Secret World, its a MMORPG that delves into the supernatural elements such as spirits, undead creatures, classic monsters such as vampires, werewolves, and mummies, and a tons of other elements used from mythology and legends. I guess we can add the Old Ones to the list of things in that universe to worry about.

This game looks amazing. It's like 'The Secret World Legends' and 'Dead Space' had a baby. Funcom is really going out of their way to expand the Secret World universe. I mean they gave us 'The Park' so why not their own version of 'Dead Space' with some Lovecraftian eldritch horror sprinkled in.
I think it will be since the inability to fight back is one of the most important aspects of lovecraftian horror, I would be surprised if you can even look directly at the monsters in the game for more than a second without taking damage as that's also an important theme in his work and is where the word "madness" in the title comes from (the idea that the monsters are so horrific that just looking at them drives you mad with fear, also it's likely a reference to 'at the mountains of madness' but "madness" is in the title of that for the same reason)
