  • Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill/Impact Driver Combo Kit
I recently purchased this combo kit to replace two outdated tools. Tune in for my first impressions and reasoning behind choosing this brand, as opposed to a number of other on the market.

18V &20V are the same battery. Milwaukee has I believe even secured the patent on the layout (x5 3.6volt lithium ion cells) and everyone else pays them a licensing fee.

Thanks for the insight and thoroughness in your decision making in the comparison. I use the same drivers, absolutely love them.

I'm really enjoying them so far! Very quiet and capable, as well as what seems to be an insanely quick recharge time. I'm always pro-more tools hahaha

I've had makita cordless tools for years and they just keep going, I highly recommend their impact and drill set

I know it’s a year later, but I just got this same kit and used the 3rd free tool as the subcompact 1/2” impact wrench.
Can’t wait to put it to work! (Automotive)

Sounds like a great choice! I've since added to my tool line too, some of my favorites being the track saw and cordless circular saw

  • @GregBrecker

Good choice. I think you’ll really like them. With a circular saw, and reciprocal, grinder, multi tool, and sander in the brushless style, for small projects you’ll be unstoppable.
I have most including your setup and love what I can do with them, both for myself and friends / relatives. It’s a very satisfying feeling.

My Makita impact was taking out of my case , I was wondering if the set had the same serial numbers on them?,( the drill and impact) so I can for sure know it’s mine when I see it??
