Maybe in your story it is, but when I watched My Little pony in my mind a strange picture was painted about ponys’ world - approximately 70-80 % is mares and 20-30 % stallions. In the show stallions are either furniture(it will be very strange to see only females, if not ponys secretly hermaphrodits) either needed to show how cool main characters are. However, you have independent strong male characters, it is very revolutionary in nowadays.
