the film was released under the Touchstone Pictures banner (Disney’s adult-themed label) because the film may be too scary for kids. then it was re-released in 3D through Walt Disney Pictures in 2006.

Not for me, I was 4 years old when I saw that at the cinema and I was not scared of anything in it at all except the bit where Oogie Boogie's skin falls off and it turns out that he is filled with insects and other creeping animals made me wince.
