It's actually not all aso okes that can be stoned.
Crantex and silk can't be stoned because the stones won't stay because of the type of fabric used in weaving it.
The best for stoning is Cotton aso oke.

I honestly would advice you buy it from the market, because making yours would take forever and also it will not be as perfect and aligned as readymade pattern boards are.

Yes, there's a machine for it and that's going to save you a lot of time. However, I really don't need one now because I only embellish my personal aso oke.
I might consider one if I eventually decide to go commercial.
So yes, you would need one if you intend going into it full time.

It's not for only aso oke. You can use it for just any fabric. I have some on my jeans trousers, ankara tops and even my handbags.
They are readily available at the markets.
