Poffertjes are my favorite! My country was colonized by the Dutch and we also have pannenkoek en poffertjes here. I like them very simple with powdered sugar and melted butter, sometimes I make a berry compote and it’s delicious with those. I love a good savory pannenkoek with ham and cheese and not to mention bitterballen and kroketten. Ours tastes a bit different because our people like a more strong seasoned flavor and we had the use the ingredients that were available to us. Love from Suriname 🇸🇷

Grew up eating Dutch pancakes on Sunday mornings! My grandparents immigrated to Canada from from the Netherlands when they were young. We didn't have all the fun toppings but I always just put brown sugar or jam inside and rolled it up and topped with whipped cream lol

yes, i’d say a lot of european countries have been getting rid of single use plastic over the years be it for ice cream, street foods, cups or straws :) we use wood or other recyclable materials instead
