- At a press conference in a Tel Aviv hospital, Yocheved Lifshitz has described her ordeal of being captured by Hamas.

She is one of two women returned by Hamas yesterday, the third and fourth of the hostages to be freed. Lifshitz spoke in Hebrew and her daughter translated in English. The former hostage told reporters she had 'been through hell' after being captured by Hamas fighters on motorbikes. Lifshitz described being beaten with sticks and forced to walk, but went on to describe conditions in the tunnels, where she had been treated 'more gently'. The 85-year-old was released with Nurit Cooper, 79. The pair and their husbands were taken from their homes in the Nir Oz kibbutz during Hamas's rampage on southern Israeli communities on 7 October.

The craziest part for me was when she says, they broke down the wall the very high-tech wall. I’ve always known Gaza was an open air prison, but to hear someone that lived so close to it openly admit that they live close to a wall where they know people were being held l. Refugees of their country is insane. It’s amazing that she’s out and safe and that they treated her well. That’s more than people can say for how that Israeli government has treated Palestinians. Omar Daraghmeh a senior Hamas leader was held in an Israeli prison, he died recently. The prison released a statement saying that he died after "feeling unwell and going to the prison clinic for tests." However, they are known liars and Hamas accuses Israel of assassinating this man. If this is true; so much for Israel’s high ground.

Whoever was killed at that time was killed due to clashes and most likely from Israeli bullets because they were shooting at Hamas members and the hostages they were with. One of the freed hostages said that beforehand. Refer to the statements of the freed hostages and you will know the truth.
