- Hi Everybody! Here's my quick and easy way to make Rice Paper Bacon! This truly is, the easiest and tastiest vegan bacon I've ever made. Use it anyway you would use bacon!
And if you've already seen my Baconator video, you might be thinking "Wait a minute, this is the same video just with a different Intro and Outro Buddy!" and you are correct! I simply made this it's own video so that people who search "Vegan Bacon" would find this and people who search "Vegan Baconator" would find the other one. So sue me!

I do it slightly different. I use one whole rice paper to build one stripe of bacon.
After marinading I fold it into one stripe. It gets slightly chewier and contains also more taste because every layer contains the marinade.. it’s also easier because no cutting no mess.
Just made this bacon…..excellent!!! I did test it in the oven for about 10 minutes @ 400 degrees, it was just as good as frying. Thank you Mr. Burger Dude!

I made this tonight and it was DELICIOUS. I’m going to use 3 sheets next time to get more bacony flavour but my non veg boyfriend loved them too! New favourite cooking channel ❤️

@@ms.lgraves4147 3 worked out really well! It gave a bit more chew but I would add more seasoning as it is a little subtle still

FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing this recipe! We are storing ours between two parchment paper sheets rolled up like a scroll and stuffed into a reusable baggie. Great video, loved that you switched up and found a better way without waste and showed us - that helped SO much, it can get tricky! Thanks again!

Love this recipe as given! Great results and appreciate another comment that baking these lacks crispiness. I did add one more sheet of rice paper today, added cayenne a bit more garlic & maple syrup and some vegan spicy bacon seasoning. My family found those additions caused the strips to taste even more bacony for us. Thank you very much for a great recipe!

I just cut the paper right in the pan with a plastic knife. edit: 2nd time around just chucked the whole sheet into the pan and cut afterward.. works like a charm. next time I would either omit the oil or put in half tbsp (preference) as for me it was WAY too oily. tried without (wetting) water first... you should dip in water first :)

Thanks for this recipe. I made this twice now. It is easy, tasty and quick. Leaving it in the fridge overnight, it really absorbed the marinade. Yield wise, I get two good dips and then the last one with a little less marinade on it.

Hi, if I make too much rice paper bacon, can I freeze them after marinating or do they keep better in the fridge. Love your videos. Thank you!
That is a good question, I'm not sure, but I would guess it would be ok!
I baked mine. Big mistake. Next time I’ll spray a frying pan like you suggested. Mine were too chewy. And I’ll leave out the maple - was not a fan of maple bacon previously. My last batch was the Edgy Veg version and it was too salty and too sweet at the same time. I’ll keep it simple. Soy sauce, cracked black pepper, smoked paprika, oil. Dash of liquid smoke. Done.
Oh no! Yeah that's why I prefer to fry mine. Easier to get the texture I like. And definitely make the marinade to your tastes. I personally can't really taste the maple syrup, but if you don't like it, totally leave it out! Good luck!

I haven't had a Wendy's Baconator or a Carl's Jr burger in almost 8 years, since going vegan.

Does Accent add any flavor? I'm using MSG from an Asian market but I don't think it has any flavor? Will that work?

Will IT'S JUST brand of premium yeast flakes work for the nutritional yeast for the vegan bacon or that something entirely different? The vegan cheese flavor substitute is throwing me off in the description on the package, so I wasn't sure. Also I found Bragg smoky barbecue nutritional yeast, I was wondering if thought that would work for vegan bacon?
It won't taste cheesy, but it'll impart some UMAMI! Yes that should work!

What's the freezability of the raw and cooked rice paper?
I've never tried it so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing it would work!
