Welcome back to acoustic weekends, this time in association with PRS Guitars! Through spring, acoustic weekends are going to feature some of their excellent players. We start with Matt Brooks of Like A Storm.
He and vocalist Chris Brooks treat us to an acoustic rendition of the band's latest single "Break Free."

In standard tuning (From the STUDIO version)
Verses/Chorus: E, B, A, C#m These are open chords. You leave the B and E strings open on all of them
Pre-Chorus: C#m, B, A, F#m
Bridge: B, (Slide up to) C#m, and slide back down to B. Then A after the 3rd time of sliding back to B
THIS VERSION (Drop D Tuning again open chords, open B and E strings. They might be using an open tuning)

Jennifer Lowe some of the best bands are the ones where they're related. Kings of Leon, Chevelle, Like A Storm, Oasis, just to name some. They have a natural chemistry which allows them to read each other and meld the sound almost flawlessly, rather than have two individuals having to practice and manually sync with one another.
