Postoperative surgery Lasik surgery:
- The most important thing after a Lasik operation is not to rub your eyes for at least the first four days.
- Wash your head and face well, especially the periocular area such as the eyelids and the skin around the eye so that they are clean.
- During the postoperative period of a Lasik operation it is also recommended to use soft soaps used for babies. Take only the precaution to dry gently afterwards.
- Do not put on makeup during the 10 days after the Lasik operation.
- Do not cover your eyes, even if it is more comfortable. - The risk of infection increases with a covered eye.
- Non-contact sports can be done within 48 hours. The contact in about 10-15 days.
- Except special indication by your ophthalmologist, you can sleep in the position that you like, although during the first five days it is advisable not to sleep on your stomach.
Postoperative care after Lasik for bathing or in summer:
- Avoid bathing in pools, saunas, steam baths or the sea during the first 3 weeks.
- Swimming can be done approximately 15 days after the Lasik operation.
