We can have nice road trips up here, but no where near like there. They aren't the Smokies, but our White Mountains in NH make for a nice drive, especially if you go up to the summit of Mount Washington. They have a weather observatory at the summit and beautiful view, that is if your not blocked by cloud cover below you. :)
I have family not far from the area. Have fun. Our family vacation is Dollywood for my birthday in November.😊 I've come to realize that most of not all hotels say they have queen beds but they are either "hotel queens" or full beds they label as queens.
