Hot Dog I use twin markers, here I live in Europe we have action and a set of 12 twin markers the new version are €5
And the old version set of 36 are €36!
I think that markers are also great!

Hey. Keep practicing.
1. Try with different styles you like.
2. Pick a gender that you want your drawing to be
3. Pick colors that you think would match the character
4. If you want to name the character and come up with who they are and what makes them, them.
The best advice I've ever received was to start with quantity over quality. Like, once you find something you like, keep drawing it. Doodle it on the margins of notes, and once you're so comfortable you could draw it from memory, then you can start expanding.

I love watching this type of video because it's fun to see everyone's directions for characters.
I mean, if I had that color scheme I would have gone for a far more adorable, innocent design because to me the light blue looked as innocent as the pink and the dark blue seemed more like something for the hair and for highlights, so it's so interesting to see someone taking the same thing to a totally different place
I like how you just draw and sketch so loosely and you don't care about making everything perfect which I love about you👍🏻😊🖍️🖊️✏️🖋️

RAINY nah, she first chose the colours and then drew a character based on the colours. She meant to FIRST draw a character and then choose the colours blindly. The challenge is, she can’t base now on the colours with the character.
RAINY oh, now I see what you mean. The challenge is, you have to try to match the colours, even tho if they don‘t match. At the end, the drawing has to look good.
I find it so satisfying how she can draw up something really quick☺️

What amazes me the most is that Waffles does like a full drawing as a "test" and I just can't do that. I gotta get it right in 1-2 tries. I got no motivation to draw anything more than 3x even if I love drawing :D

Wow it’s awesome how differently people interpret colors! When I saw the very dark purple/blue I thought royal and big or elegant and when I saw blue I thought about ocean or sea life and when I saw PINK it made me think of childhood and fun.
