LYRICS
Shots fired, tensions grow higher
Both sides claim the other’s a liar
These streets will run red
It’s the end
It’s the end of the world and I can taste it
No
It’s the end of the world, the fuse is lit
Burn in the flames of the fire
Scream in the night like a choir
So cease all your fire
Cease all your fire
In death, we will all look the same
Brothers at arms due to birthright
Raised in the dark with no foresight
A hate passed down for years
It’s the end
It’s the end of the world and I can taste it
No
It’s the end of the world, the fuse is lit
Burn in the flames of the fire
Scream in the night like a choir
So cease all your fire
Cease all your fire
In death, we will all look the same
It’s the end
It’s the end
Corpses and casings have littered the sands of time
(It’s the end)
Women and children and men die at the frontlines
(It’s the end)
Burn in the flames of the fire
Scream in the night like a choir
Cease all your fire
Cease all your fire
In death, we will all look the same
So cease all your fire
Cease all your fire
In death, we will all look the same - Hudba
Probably a top 3 song on this album and its a bonus track.
+Tmas805 Bonus tracks have always been pretty damn sick on their albums.
+DumbNameRightHere Yeah ! I remember "Upon the Shores" from Shogun, it was a blast !
+Lapin du métro Yes! Upon the Shores is awesome. Amazing track along with this one as well
+Nicholas Petrillo "Broken One" still the best bonus
+Tmas805 I cannot approve your statement enough...
i cant understand how people underestimate this album this much
Matt's vocals in the chorus are absolutely incredible!
Listening to this in the bomb shelter, hits different 😞
I hope you're safe 🙏
Powerful vocals in the chorus
love your icon btw
Thanks! It's the logo of the band DragonForce
Oh I know I love the band too!
Love the simplicity of this album. Catchy but still metal as hell!
can we take a moment to appreciate the lyrics of this song and all the truths in it?
easily the best track on the album, that first riff is exactly the shogun type sound that everyone keeps hoping trivium will return to someday
This album just makes me sad...this is by far the best song
This album incorporates the best elements of their previous 6 albums. I absolutely love the direction Trivium is taking their sound.
This song proves that metal does not need to be brutal to be awesome. Amazing song, great album, and in my opinion is the best that Trivium has ever released. Keep up the good work guys!
More relevant today than ever before this song
This is a very solid album but you guys have to stop comparing it to shogun. long live trivium\../
yes!!
+Kevin Romano Um....we are not making negative comments, we are simply, as music fans, noting influences and and small themes taken from their past, which is completely normal, what's the issue?
to be fair, the title track was apparently originally written for Shogun, so it doesn't surprise me that the rest of the album would feel similar.
i'm not saying this as a bad this as (in my opinion) this album is better than Shogun.
Shogun is so damn overrated.
This is my favorite song of all time. It’s too good. The chorus is incredible. The entire song is incredible. ‘Silence in the Snow’ is my favorite album ever, and this song is one of its many highlights.
I'm going to be frank here before people start hating on this song, take a good listen to this and I mean a thorough listen to this song specifically out of this whole album and tell me it doesn't fit right along with the rest of Shogun. If this song was a half step up in tuning it would literally sound like it fits right after Prometheus and the Crucifix.
I pretty much said that :)
Ta-shann Fearon Posted it around the same time as yours lol
Ericson Capone haha np ;)
+Ericson Capone You know apart from any hint of dirty vocals or really stand out guitar leads that make you wanna pick-up and play. The clean vocals on this are proper cleans and no longer have that air of shouted aggression they did on Prometheus, the guitars are mixed like they're a Djent band with heavy suppression and heavily mixed chugging rather than that raw thrash-esq sound they used on Shogun. The leads are now just sort of back ground filler rather than standing out and pairing so well with the vocals like they did on Shogun and they no longer have that sing along vibe to them and they're not nearly as memorable as they were. I'm not saying these are bad songs it's just the direction the band has taken and clearly loads of people are absolutely loving it but it just feels a bit soulless compared to the band that wrote Shogun.
+TakeTo TheShadows Matt's doing some voice therapy stuff after the tour for the last album. I'm pretty sure the sound of this album is just the band working around what he CAN do right now. All things considered, it sounds pretty good I think.
Here March 1st 2022. Song seems more relevant than ever. 😞
This song has such a big sound. It also takes a few listens to fully appreciate. I've always liked that about Trivium's music. My only gripe with this song is the shortness of the guitar solo.
Always listened to TDWP, As I Lay Dying, UnderOath, Asking Alexandria (and I freaking love Tool) but could never really get into Trivium. I just didn't care for his screaming actually, though I obviously can appreciate it still. Found silence in the snow in YT recommendations and wow after listing to 3 songs I had to buy the album. After listening to this one my decision was made. Not an original fan, but you guys got a new one
+chris gardner Unlike a lot of bands that happens quite often with Trivium since they are always trying something new with each album (with a few early exceptions). I personally haven't found an album I didn't like despite how different they are.
What is the long version of TDWP
@@beebop5221 the devil wears Prada
Matts vocals absolutely brings out the brilliance of this song #Triviumrocks
This album is just perfect for the time being! Many people hate the fact that there's no screaming, but...for what they had I can't think of any possible ways to improve the album! It's amazing!
I still don't understand all the hate towards this album. imo it's their finest album since Shogun
this is the best they have ever done so far can comfirm
I think the majority agree its a great album, but as with everything some wont always like the same things :)
Guess people still tends to see them as a Metalcore band and expect them to release a Shogun 2.
This album is honestly my third favorite behind Shogun and Vengeance Falls. A lot of people just fell off the Trivium bandwagon after Vengeance Falls cause they didn't like the style change. But I personally prefer their newer stuff to their earlier stuff.
‘Silence in the Snow’ is my favorite album of all time.
Love this band. Much love from south africa
My favorite song of this album, no doubts!
Listen to Corey at the second verse, Shogun as hell! @ 1:40 \m/
+Ta-shann Fearon Are you referring to Torn Between Skrillex and caribbean?
+ThatNorwegianBoy Yes haha. But just in general it's a Shogun type riff, but that song in particular.
sounds like it was taken from the 2 Japanese names I can't spell song
+Ashlin Mills Kirisute Gomen
+Ta-shann Fearon The riffs during the chorus are very Shogun-esque as well.
What ever you guys do sounds great! The make up of your band an each individual talents of each member is remarkable sounding! Keep up the great work! Your sound is very distinct and that of originality! A loyal fan here! I want to see you live.
At least everyone here can agree on one thing; Shogun is an amazing album.
Ich liebe diesen Song, der Refrain ist der Hammer!
most underrated song
Love this song
This song is so relevant right now. While it is way more mainstream than thrash I prefer now, this is still flipping awesome.
I would be so happy to see an official video to this song:) It's awesome!
Beautiful song
Anyone else looking forward to Deepest Cuts II where they'll play this song for the first time?? Super excited! Massively underrated song.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
I just love this song.
Of Prometheus and the Crucifix is my no.1 favorite song and i love all of trivium song from the 1st to the last.. yes including Head on Collision with a Rosebush Catching Fire lol.. just saying
I understand that Matt was going through a rough patch that he couldn't scream, I am so glad that they went back to their roots in their new albums, having said that, Silence is one of my favorite albums by TriViuM
the bridge from like 3:10 to 3:30 reminds me of vengance falls. other parts make me think of shogun. matt always said they like to take pieces from the previous records to write the new stuff!
Awesome song!
fav song on the album
DIOS... ME ENCANTA COMO CANTA
The best song of the album.
a close tie with blind leading the blind
Man, that's twice in a row that my favorite Trivium song off of their albums is a bonus track. As I Am Exploding was great in my opinion, but this takes the cake recently. Sounds like it fits right into Shogun.
I heard Between Scylla and Charybdis on this song
Very Sapto Aji where exactly?
1:40
Never did myself until you said it.
I like Trivium !!
Not a big fan of this kind of modern riff but damn 2:58 always get me, what a tasty riff
I love this song as the whole album you guys are fucking amazing, i'm so excited because finally i'm going to see you play at the knotfest in Mexico, Trivium is the only reason what i'll be there
Amazing bonus track :D
Thissss, and The Darkness of my Mind
Eu só senti falta daquele som mais brutal do álbum antigo deles e a vós também, porém, o som deles está melhorando cada vez mais, muito bom! Gostei
this sonng hits me right in the feels
Especially now lol
This song is very relevant for the times
Yes
Yup. Strap in
this song is just... i can't describe it. i so fucking love it...!!!!!!
Thanks Kehaan
Just perfect
LOL This song is better than the regular tracks!
Aaaaand now I gotta buy the deluxe edition lol
Yup... same lol not that I mind, supporting the band after all xD
I just wanted to comment how badass this song is!! Ok bye
Underrated song as hell
Fast forward to now and we still so divided
This is 100% their best song by far...on their best album. Amazing
damn ah ha in my opinion another great album
When did I first hear it? 2019?
Ah, good times.
That bass solo is empowering!
Paolo knows how to deliver haha, not afraid to show us some bass
+Seth Collins Which one?
+Paolo Prieto I dont hear a bass solo lol
How have you still not made a videoclip to go with this song? ffs
Awesome \m/
Thank you Pandora for bringing me here.
the intro is actually pretty similar to This World Can't Tear Us Apart before solo part
kept waiting for the vengeance falls album deluxe edition to be released in the US and it never came...so what about this one? is it available in the US?
I don't get why people be hating on this album, it's fucking amazing asf🤘💯
4:37 🔥🔥🔥 outro
Really great song XD
I've listened to this album over and over back in the day.
Now I'm coming back to it and I can’t remember a single line or melody...
Hmm..
cool!
muito alegre e melancólico ao mesmo tempo... falta um pouco de agressividade do metal das antas... hammerfall sabe fazer isso muito bem... mas mesmo assim eh uma ótima banda...
This is so Shogun influenced, Love it!
SSUNDEE/KEEHAN BROUGHT ME HERE!!!
CreaterThree3 3 me too,the urge to hear the full song was tempting
i know right ahahahah
CreaterThree3 3 same hahah, I heard that 2 seconds of the song and wanted to hear more
i'm actually curious and amaze at the same time on how kehaan find find these things
CreaterThree3 3 same! It's such a good song!
🤘
Between Scylla and Charybdis part 2
+David Sebastian Flores Aguilera Please don't compare this pile of shit to an actually good song.
Oh! Sorry M.R metalhead
@@Themetalcook01 Really I've never heard a Trivium fan that doesn't like shogun.
Wrong. Sounds nothing like between scylla and charybdis. Glad you like trivium though. They are great band
@@helco2856 there's nothing wrong.. it's not exactly a part two, but the riff after the first chorus is the intro of torn between, half a step down or entire string down.
Dont get why ppl always assume bonus songs are gonna be less spectacular. To me this album just has 13 tracks..12 not counting the intro. Bonus tracks are just songs..Makes no difference if the band didnt "officially" put it on the album. Its still there, and its still written by Trivium. Dont even understand why bonus tracks exist. Its all ready professionally recorded. Just put it on the ablum as track "X"
Small album my ass, this album is rock solid!
que chida *-*
This is the best track on the album. The album is definitely a step up from Vengeance Falls.
vengeance falls was the best one in my opinion almost every song was gold. after the initial shock wore off from this album being different I really like it. this is a more melodic metal
To believe, no way to heal and villainy thrives are better than any song on this album but it's All Trivium so who the fuck cares...just throwing that out there
When you see how perfectly the tracker lines up with the bottom of the frame.
Solidarity with Ukraine ! Peace and love to everyone ! 🇺🇦❤️🙏🏻
so for a while now i kept thinking why does the intro sound familar on this sound and realise its the same rythym and beat as the outro to spineshanks the begining of the end.. weird and interesting
Song meaning?
You know when a song is really cool when cold runs through you. I mean it.
Oh the irony... cold and snow on throughout the album...
this song is 100x better than crap like Pull Me From the Void and Beneath the Sun and it's a bonus track!!
+GlesgaGreg especially Pull Me From the Void.
yup, got no time for swing in Trivium haha
beneath the sun is pretty good
Oh come on Pull Me From the Void is good
This is sick asf
ur sick af
u
r
sick

This song reminds me of shogun in many different ways
There is so much shogun in this album
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of music uploads have had their comments removed? Not just Trivium but a bunch of other groups. I'm guessing YT have fucked up yet again
Me realizing that this song pretty much describes Dark Souls.
Silence In The Snow skull merch is LONG OVERDUE 💀
What is this song actually about? Since it has some pretty strong lyrics but can't find any explanations for the meaning behind it online. Is it referring to an individual conflict or is it a general peace song?
+sebisam The meaning is so clear. It talks about wars, mankind's division. ONU vs ISIS. How long do you listen to metal ? I mean, majority of metal music talk about wars, world issues, religions, politics, literature, mythology, etc. Just look to the world you're living and the song will fit perfectly.
+Izabele Soares I agree. The same goes for Five Finger Death Punch. The band revolves around the military
I think of WWII when I listen to this song. "Saving Private Ryan" clips would work perfect with the music.
That intro is so reminiscent of Come Clarity.
Foda
Both the bonus tracks should have been on the album, maybe in place of Dead and Gone and The Thing That's killing me, not really feeling those songs tbh, the bonus tracks have more of an old school trivium vibe
+Greig Robertson I loved Dead and Gone, but the other song could go.
This could have replace beneath the sun imo
Why the fuck is this a bonus track
