I have been working on a long Michaela character study (think of a vid the length of my long Zeke character study) for quite some time now, but I realised that tackling her arc like that without any practice was pretty damn difficult, so I decided to make a shorter Michaela vid before continuing that one. Making this vid really helped me get a strong grip on her arc and find so many parallels and connections that will help me tell her story better in the longer character study, so I'm really glad I made this. With this vid, I wanted to focus a lot on her guilt and how she lost the path she was on before 828 before realising that her original path just wasn't meant for her and wasn't even truly what she wanted. I'll dive deeper into her arc soon (hopefully), but I hope I managed to do her justice in this vid too!

This was an excellent character study! I relate to her always searching for a reason that 828 happened to her, that the life she had before completely ended. When something awful happens to us, we feel the need to find a reason, to make the pain less random, to make sense out of grief and loss. So often there is no definitive reason - horrible things just happen. But I so relate to her asking the question. Frankly, my zekaela love wants to believe that it happened so that they could find each other :-) Looking forward to seeing the next video!!

Your editing and song choice are beautiful. Perfect video for Michaela and I really like that the relationship most emphasized here is Mick and Ben's, not the romantic ones. I mean clearly, Mick's romantic life is an important part of the story and though the beginning of Mick and Zeke was rushed imo, their development was great. But the Stone siblings and their relationship are what ties the story together and is the real heart of the show. Lovely vid.
