Heart is breaking 💔 😪 I was looking for music as I am conducting her last journey on the earth, the last time with me 'What am I without you' is going to be one its so right. I'm not even sure if you are humans anymore. Your music breaks boundaries we as listeners didn't even know existed. I truly love your music in an intrinsic way -- I get how you developed your sound from your first album onward, and I' m just so impressed that personal problems haven't kept you from staying the course. You are not only a lovely band, but somehow you've managed to be important and influential as well. Good on ya, mates.

This band is the real thing. I would like to change my YT handle on here, as i had done that ages ago to amuse my sons and niece. But oh Coldplay are nowhere but nowhere near these guys! My conversion happened ages ago, i saw the light that Guy and Co gave me so clearly. And it still shines bright!

What a fantastic tune again from elbow. Lyrics, superb. When the tune changes half way through, please listen again but purely to the amazing, melodic bass line. As a fellow bass player, I can appreciate his feel and interpretation. Pete Turner is just an awesome bass player!

What kind of set did they play in terms of the mix of songs? Had tickets for Brighton but my wife was very unwell on the day so we missed it! First Elbow tour I’ve missed since The Seldom Seen Kid days.

They usually come to the US...I'm in NY and I usually see them in NY, Philly, DC and / or Boston...think I have caught them 3 times per tour twice already.

Wow. Something like this happened to me with my dog too. "Build a rocket boys!" was released near final days of my beloved pointer "Oddy". He got cancer and we had to put him away about mid march of 2011. Some parts of "Open Arms" reminds me him most than any song and it's mostly impossible to me not to release a tear when I listen to it. I take this in a very good way, he was a long-lived happy doggy.

Up until now I rated One Day Like This as your best, but by God this knocks it for six, and I say that without any disrespect whatsoever to One Day Like This. Six Words fill my eyes with tears, in the best of ways, my breath comes in awestruck gasps that I can’t control. Thank you for creating this utter masterpiece. Yours in total admiration of a sublimely talented band. This may be a bit OTT but the world’s a better place for people like you creating things like this. The efforts of all the morons doing horrible things to spoil our existence pale into insignificance for the five minutes I listen to and marvel at this track.

Adore the aluminum bottle and extinguisher percussion. I grew up with a ton of industrial and electro🤣 Quite a fleshed out sound here. Great pace changes, gorgeous lyrics, dig the synth work. Could have used some mad strings, like on "Little Fictions." Screw you all for looking down at me for that comment. I KNOW some of you were thinking it😅 Elbow has been a fave of mine for a few years but only get more firmly entrenched in my playlist, as well as my wife's 😁 Sometimes she learns "good" things from me.
