A point that's impressive given that they're goofing around so much during this was that when Mitch cracked up during the "snow" scene, how quickly he shook it off, got right back into character and finished strong.
What I've always wondered is how Scott and Kirstie managed to tear up all that paper without Mitch noticing.
Him screwing around breaking character is far better than 95% people who are doing it seriously!!
This one never fails to put a smile on my face. Scott is 6'3-6'4" (depending on what you read). Everyone thinks Mitch is short because he looks it next to Scott the giant, but he's actually just shy of 5'10.
Idk if anyone else explained what was happening in the bloopers at the end, but apparently growing up one of their ways to goof-off and have fun was like these "who can sing the worst/most off key" competitions (just to make each other laugh, I guess). In other words, that's them trying to sing badly. So... even when trying to sing badly they sing better than many people lol.

It's actually harder for a trained singer to sing badly than correctly because they have to fight against years of training and natural instincts to do it. I believe that game was made to make each other laugh, yes, but also to challenge themselves. From what I understand they normally do it at least until someone "loses" by not being able to sing badly anymore (or cracking up with laughter), or basically "last one standing." If true, Kirsten lost that round by practically dropping in laughter after that last shriek, lol.
@@ChibiChula I know that they've been playing this game since high school, and I find it very easy to believe that it's harder for them to sing out of tune than in. Glad to have the "rules" explained. Thanks.

Kirstie has been in Broadway in Kinky Boots. She and Mitch are definite Disney princesses. I am most impressed with Mitch's sustained high note in the beginning with a bent diaphragm.
Along with all the other awesome suggestions from the other commenters, Superfruit’s Hiphop goes broadway part 1 and part 2 are not to be missed. The level of Mitch and Scott’s genius in rearranging music is astounding in those two vids.

In the movie, when Elsa is singing "Let it Go" she's still wearing the white glove that she'd used for years to prevent herself from actually touching people and potentially freezing them. And during this song she throws the glove off. But Superfruit didn't have any white gloves handy, so Mitch used a towel.
Wow, what a rabbit hole you stepped into. For Superfruit, my recommendations would be "Rise", "Guy.Exe" and "Defying Gravity". But for Pentatonix, have you done their collaboration with Toddrick Hall yet, "The Wizzzard of Ahhhz"?

Their Empire Medley is a BLINDING display of Scott and Mitch's vocal and arrangement prowess, absolutely mind-blowing
what's amazing is that the three of them have been friends since they were little kids, they basically grew up together and have been singing together since they were in high school!
and you can never go wrong with superfruit, they have regular medleys the same way PTX does them, but they also have a lot of those goofy vlog type videos and they even sing in some of them, like their Karaoke Game for example. Not to mention they have released one album of their original music, i think you'd really enjoy it. Their most popular song is Guy.exe cause it went viral last year on tiktok, but the whole album is full of bangers. hope to see you react to more of them!

They all actually met as kids doing children's theatre & then honed their harmonies in choir. Kirstie's confidence really soared after she was in Kinky Boots-check out their live Seasons of Love(Rent) performance from a Capital 4th & Waving Thru A Window (Dear Evan Hanson)! Also, check them out live from the Very Wicked Halloween special singing Loathing! So freaking great! Loved this!
The trio, Scott Kirstie and Mitch were all musical theatre nerds growing up and it shows in their ability to act in any of their videos. Several Superfruit videos that you'll love just for the harmonies: Happy Little Pill, Rise, Empire medley, Pop Goes Broadway, Lost On You.
Love how much you enjoyed their friendship and silliness! Some of my favorite Superfruit videos of them being goofy together are the Dance Party episodes. There's one with little clips of each song on PTX volume 3, one with just Can't Sleep Love, and one with little clips of each song on the Pentatonix self-titled album where they are also playing with different Photo Booth effects during each song. If you're interested in checking out something non-musical, the Ghost Hunting episode is hilarious!
Congrats! You're one of the few reactors who immediately figured out that Scott was using Kirstie's hair as his "wig" at the beginning of the video! That's good observational talents!

And yes - Scott is about a foot taller than Kirstie. It's pretty obvious when they are standing next to each other in "normal" shoes. Kirstie normally wears shoes with several inches of heels when she's onstage, since she's by far the shortest member of the group.
Pentatonix has actually released a "real" version of Let It Go, where Mitch and Kirstie switch off on the lead vocals. It's kind of a fun song to listen to (there's no official video, just a "Yule Log" one), because they switch off at some "odd" places in the song, and their voices sound very much alike. Scott, Mitch & Kirsty have said they met both when they were 8 & 10 years old. It may be because they were in "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" and "Annie", so both ages are probably correct. In any case, they were young children. They reconnected in high school choir & grew close. There are several videos of them singing alone and together within the you tube universe.
You may want to pause the video when you want to say something because when you don't, most of what you say is lost. Either because this word or that phrase can't be heard over the singing or the viewer is more interested in the singing over what you are saying. Then go back 10 seconds or more before you start it up again so you don't miss what might be a very pivotal point in the song or storyline. Glad you stuck around for the bloopers. Superfruit videos always have bloopers at the end.

This is so fun! As you said, they sound great even when they are singing with crazy wigs and a sheet for a backdrop and just being goofy. Perhaps someone mentioned that Mitch and Scott met when they were 9 & 10 respectively singing in a local production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Scott was Charlie and Mitch was Mike TV. Kirstie met Mitch around the same time, and the three were in many choirs and musicals together through Jr. High and High School. So they have been singing and goofing around together for many years. The tight harmonies and their love for each other is part of why I enjoy watching PTX so much.

I recommend that you watch Superfruit doing Empire Medley or Guy.exe which is a really fun mv. Mitch doing a solo cover of Your Power will also just blow your mind; it is so gorgeous. I LOVE Mitch, too. I was at their recent concert and was in the 8th row waving at him like a crazy person and hoping he would wave back 😊. They all were 🤯 and I can’t wait for another opportunity to see them in concert someday.

The 3 of them grew up together so they are very close. Kirstie has done Disney and Broadway. Everyone has done something on their own since PTX has done good but say the 5 always comes before 1. Mitch isn't the only one with a high pitched voice, check out Seasons of Love

They sound SO GOOD, and they're just playing around. . . crazy.
There are two kinds of SuperFruit videos -- vlog videos and music videos for their original songs. The vlog started in 2013 when Mitch and Scott were sharing an apartment. Most of the episodes are chat about their lives, comedy and CZcams challenges; no music but some are worth reacting to. Occasionally, there was a musical episode like this. They would put a scene together, sometimes with guests. Or they would get obsessed with a current album or performer, put together a medley, rent a studio, and record it, usually with Mitch arranging and playing piano. In 2016, they got serious, started writing and arranging original songs and worked with experienced songwriters, producers, vocal editors and engineers to record them. They released about a dozen songs on two "Future Friends" EP's (later combined into an album). Then they worked with a variety of professional videographers to make high-quality music videos for almost all of them -- sets, costumes, dancers, choreography, etc. The most watched of the originals is "guy.exe", but I like "Imaginary Parties" and "Hurry Up"
They have been doing this since they were in high school (all 3 of them together) Scott and Mitch have been best friends since 10 yrs old. This is like the best singers in the world!!! Going to their bedroom and goofing around. How amazing and fun!!!

Kirstin was originally going to major in musical theater. She and Scott each had one year of college before The Sing-Off. As noted down-thread, Scott is 6 ft 3. But Kevin is 6 ft. 1. The two of them just tower over everyone else, especially Mitch and Kirstin (5 ft. 4). The towel is Elsa's glove. They are all more or less 22 here (Scott is the eldest by a few months). That blonde wig shows up in a couple of other videos!

You can tell the depth of their friendship and how much the know and love eachother. Scott and Mitch have been friends since they were very young, in elementary school and in middle school they met Kirstie and the 3 of them were inseparable.

Everyone says that Kirstie is basically a real life Disney princess. She sings like one, she's beautiful, and 2 of her dogs are named Olaf and Pascal (Tangled). I have no idea why she hasn't done a Disney movie yet. Also PTX did a full cover of let it go on one of their christmas albums quite a long time ago. It's definitely not their best work compared to today's epicness, but it is still very good.
I’m sure someone has told you but Kirstie, Mitch and Scott went to high school together in Texas. Can you imagine all that talent in one school.

I'm rooting for the Empire Medley (a medley of songs from the tv show Empire) because I adore it or the Anti Medley because they really did Rhianna justice with that one. Though their Beyoncé Medley was approved by the "Queen B" herself (which they freaked out about, lol) and is apparently "flawless." If you want to hear them rapping check out Feeling Myself. The most funny ones other than this one are probably their Hip-hop Goes Broadway 1&2. Do not miss the bloopers on those, OMG! 😂 They also have one featuring Todrick Hall (that I can't remember the name of right now) where they basically have to improvise songs based on prompts that's both hilarious but also displays their talent. I'm forgetting a few (apart from their originals) but honestly it's all good. They also have individual work you might want to check out some day! 😁👍

I seriously would love to be friends with them. They are so doggone fun and silly. The BTS of this one, Scott said that they were drinking cocktails in between takes, and were slowly getting plastered as the video went on. They have quite a few medleys and mashups of popular artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus. Plus they did their own album called Future Friends. Loved this, i enjoy watching their videos as it shows how true their friendship is and honestly if I could have just one friendship like theirs, I'll forever be happy. I would love to see your reaction to any superfruit video, especially Defying Gravity, but you're smart to wait as it blows everything out of the water. I recommend their La La Land medley, another fun goofy one of theirs, one of their originals from their album future friends that I really enjoy is The Promise. It is a beautiful song and they do an amazing job as always.
Can you pleaseee react to Bass Gang ft Lauren Paley: Hide and Seek! It is insanely cool a capella and the bass drops and beat boxing will literally blow your mind.. at the very least check it out on your own, the talent is real!! Especially for how young most of them are (one's only 16 I think!) And they recorded it on 3 different continents (they all live around the world) then they edited it together and made magic!! 🤗
