This takes place 20 years after the first two films (both the original and part 2 take place on the same night). Also, I recommend not skipping films. Watch all of them, including the ones that are generally considered bad. Just ignore what people say. You never know, you may actually end up liking the "bad" ones.
I always liked this movie quite a bit. I know it’s not that popular with Halloween fans, which has always puzzled me, since I think Michael is particularly scary here.

That's Joseph Gordon-Levitt you recognized at the beginning. He started out as a child actor, but made a comeback when he got older. Christopher Nolan has used him in Inception and The Dark Knight Rises where he played the man who would eventually become Robin.

Please, watch Halloween from 2018, that movie is far better. Michael is far more terrifyng, the mask is awesome, the score sondtrack by John Carpenter is MAGNIFECENT, the story is darker and more deeper, it has an actual autumn atmosphere, the kill scenes are better and Jamie Lee Curtis's acting is even better than in H2O, she's a force, her performance was top tier in 2018!
Halloween (2018) is an awesome sequel, it's my favorite movie in the franchise after the original from 1978.
I was never a big fan of H2O, but I've always loved Jamie Lee Curtis performance and I hate how Moustapha Akkad tricked Jamie Lee Curtis in H2O about killing Michael (Yes, she didn't killed Michael at the end of H2O, that was a paramedic, that was the plan since the begnning) and then, they disrespected her so badly in Hallowen Resurrection from 2002.

In this time line Halloween 4,5 an 6 never happened. Then after this is unfortunately Halloween Resurrection thats all I will say.

The 6th movie was also the last one for Donald Pleasence (Dr. Loomis) as he was already in ill health during filming and died shortly after it was completed. Hence, why no Dr. Loomis in this one

@@PerryComicsYou should react to all the films without skipping, even the bad ones. That way, you get to experience the franchise as a whole. Also, who knows, you may actually end up liking the ones that are generally considered bad!
Stop watching trash. The only Halloweens worth watching are 1, 2, 2007 and 2018.
