    ----
Nålbinding (also known as nålebindning, nalebinding, naalbinding, or simply, ‘needle binding’) is one of the oldest forms of needlecraft. The oldest textile fragment of Nalbinding dates from c. 6500BC in Israel, and fragments of Nålbound garments have been found in Peru, Egypt, Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Nålbinding was widely used by the Scandinavian Vikings in between the 7th and 10th Century AD. Nålbinding predates knitting and crochet, which appeared around 13th Century and 19th Century, respectively.
