  • The presence, the POWER, the sounds, the brutality! We take Josh's modified R32 GTR for a drive and it does not disappoint!
    Equipped with the newest generation Garret turbo, front mount cooler, 1000hp fuel system and an exhaust that's gives you eargasms galore it's an absolute beast.
    He's taken the iconic Godzilla and jabbed it full of steroids! On a tame 20psi, it's pumping out 445awkw (596awhp) and there's plenty more room to boost it up and get god-like figures.
    Sit back, spool up and enjoy the ride!
    Be sure to check out Josh's awesome car page!

    It's great how you took it to winding roads properly and let us hear the engine through the gears. Unlike some reviews a pull, then some monologue, and only engine sounds when doing a straight pull. I love the on and off throttle noises. Great

    • @TalkTheTorque
      @TalkTheTorque  Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks man. I personally love the windy roads and if the owners are up for it, I always take the cars I review on them. Even in a straight line the thing is absolutely crazy, but feeling out the brakes and handling is always a way to get the full experience... and as you said, the different combination or eargasmic sounds is a bonus too!

      It's because he scares people away with his lack of knowledge. He can't even drive ffs. If it's out of respect, I understand the short shifts. But it clearly looks like it just scares him. He freaks out before the wastegate even opens. Exaggerates all of his movements and overhypes. I don't like his style at all. I'm only here because GTR and beautiful noises.

    I cant believe this is a standard bottom end. I mean, we all know the RB26 is a bad ass donk especially with oil delivery upgrades, but to push that much power into a stock rotating assembly is nuts.

    • @39PSIOnTheDaily
      @39PSIOnTheDaily Před 2 lety

      Not unheard of. Stock bottom ends have run 720WHP+ reliably. I must say though… I have a machined head, Tomei poncam camshafts, CP Carrillo Pistons, ACL Rod Bearings and ARP Studs and I still dunno if I’d feel comfortable past my current 650WHP. It’s really up to the owner as to whether they feel comfortable facing the potential heavy repair bill associated with a costly blowup. 😵‍💫

    • @URHYNS
      @URHYNS Před 2 lety +1

      @@39PSIOnTheDaily I guess the term 'reliably' totally depends on the use case scenario. If you've boosted a stock bottom end to 700+hp and mostly drive it around town with the odd squirt here and there, sure. But taking it to a track and doing multiple runs is a different story. My bottom end has forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, main and head studs, with headwork too. I have around 500HP at the wheels and am nervous as hell about the stock rods. Of course, I didn't do the build, if I did, I can't imagine a single scenario or reason why I wouldn't have upgraded the rods, it defies logic to me but of course everyone's different. Tuning plays a big part too, obviously. Who knows, maybe I need to chill out a little and just send it. :)

    • @39PSIOnTheDaily
      @39PSIOnTheDaily Před 2 lety

      @@URHYNS I was in your shoes on GT2860R5’s tuned to 550WHP @25psi with the exact same setup on CP Carrillo Pistons, rod bolts, bearings, machined head, etc.
      … And then I turned it up to 34psi, to the very limits of the 3 bar sensor.
      Now I’m driving around with a big grin on my face as I eat Aventador’s for lunch. I’ll keep you updated if (God forbid) something changes, lol.

    • @URHYNS
      @URHYNS Před 2 lety +1

      @@39PSIOnTheDaily haha nice! I'm planning on an upgrade to a single turbo setup - probably a G35-900/1050, upgrade cams, coils, trigger and fuel system. Suffice to say im hoping the stock rods hold up haha. It does seem modern tuning capabilities are making things much safer overall.

    Love the vid. And I own one like it. But if you were going to drive mine, I would beg you to stop moving your hands around on the wheel!! I would pack it too if the car moved around and I didn't know where centre was on instinct!! It's a GT-R! Stay in the throttle and point where you want to go. But don't wind on oppy lock. Add more throttle!! It's amazing

      Haha, I’m Italian, my hands are everywhere when I talk! I didn’t want to power out of the slide when it kicked out and and just figured I’d let off the throttle, to let it kick back straight again.
      With the setup it has, it’s a lot more aggressive when boost comes in compared to factory, but it it were stock I would’ve given it a lot more

      I just wouldn’t really want a Honda myself, unless S2000 (would have to be modded) or NSX. I personally don’t like FWD and low amounts of torque - hence my overcompensating 6.2L in the Supra 😉
