Portia is just unbelievable ! What a gift to Rugby, what a gift to life ! We’re all left Jawdropped mindblown shellshocked Amazed watching her !!!
I saw a game where she was tackled and kept running without breaking stride she carried the defender dragging on the ground... then 2 more defenders sprinting (one dove on the defender being dragged and slowed Portia a step) to catch up to take her to the ground before 2 more defenders finally got her down. I became a fan that day and watch the Black Ferns to see what she will do special that day....wow, a fantastic once a generation kind of player!!!

She is average size as a woman, but dominates the women's game like no other male player has in his sport. The only male player to come close was her role model, Jonah Lomu. His time was very brief, due to his kidney disease, and he manage to score 30+ tries internationally. Portia scored 195 tries before her injury two years ago. Her Black Ferns Sevens teams have won world championships every year since she started playing. The only time the fifteens lost a world cup was 2014, when they chose to leave her off the roster. In 2017, she scored EIGHT tries against Hong Kong! I agree with you that she is the best women's player in her sport.

@@denisemccarthy5384 exactly my point. Jonah is so great that like Pele in soccer, all you have to do is mention his first name. Yet he is only one in the 122 years of All Blacks history. On the other hand, watch almost any Black Ferns match and you realize how she dominant she is. Had they included her in the 2014 squad, when she was already the dominant sevens player, the Black Ferns might have won six straight World Cups in Fifteens!
Portia has said she has two more goals remaining. One is that elusive Olympic gold medal in sevens. The other is giving birth to her first child. The concept of a Portia II boggles the mind!
By the way, the most dominant scrum half in the world, male or female, is Portia’s teammate, Kendra Cocksedge.

BF's were playing proffessional rugby before the proffessional era started, so she is going to look good against amateurs, England have proved that player for player they are the better team, and France are not far behind. The proffessional era will see the end of the faux NZ era.

The Roses were playing professional rugby way before the Black Ferns started. The NZ team only turned professional a year before the last world cup which the BF's won. I don't know what you're on about. Portia Woodman Witcliff has won all there is to win in rugby whether it be 15s, or 7s. She won 2 gold and a silver medal as an Olympian. I don't think anyone in the history of women rugby will ever come close to what she's achieved.
@@meref9973 Read what I said, the BF were professional before the professional era started, it's in the nature of NZ to take their Rugby seriously as it ties into their national identity. Other countries are not so invested, and amateur's are amateur's. Not so in NZ explains the dubious nature of match result's in NZ.
