    Dirt wheels I remember did a crazy build 20 years ago. They took the top end out of the Kodak 400 air cooled motor. They did do a stroker crankshaft in the warrior,, plus gave the Kodak top end a big bore set up. It was actually on the 350 4x4 wolverine same motor. But they managed to increase the displacement to 500cc, and installed a switch to shift in and out of 4x4. Thought that was a awesome build back in the day.

    Sounds like the air/fuel mixture needs setting at 1 1/2 turns out & your front end is out of alignment. My 87 Warrior was off on the steering too.

      1 1/2 turns is what it’s set at. Thats factory spec. It is bored out though so that might ne throwing it off at that. I went for a ride today after unhooking the parking brake limiter and it hauled with no spitting and sputtering!!Till it shut off and wouldn’t start….lol. Video of that fiasco coming later this week. Seems like the parking brake limiter was the main cause and I think my clutch hanging up was the cause for my troubles today.

    Defiantly bypass that switch and see what it does and if the clutch is dragging some it will be hard to find neutral.

      @AppalachianMountainRiders  Před 2 lety +1

      I’m pretty sure the clutch is dragging. It moves in reverse even with the clutch in…lol

    A little more fine tuning and another play toy , lol I'd like to see your time on the short track with that one when you get it lined out

      @AppalachianMountainRiders  Před 2 lety +2

      It’s definitely hitting the short track! Though my experience ripping on a sport quad is limited so it might be interesting! Also have a 2022 Kodiak 700 I’ll be putting it up against, if Greg ever gets through the brake in…lol.

      @@AppalachianMountainRiders sounds fun look forward to that action as well lol, I'm sure that be a close run speed compared to a 700 work quad !!

    My warrior is a 2004 barely by pervious owner and it is fast, no upgrades beside new muffler

    My warrior, I purchased the little plate for the removal of the starter, starter holds back the motor so badly, when you take it off and try it out. It's like unleashing the beast, I recommend it to any other warrior operator

    Did you put an amazon carb on? Many of those carbs are set up way to lean.

      @AppalachianMountainRiders  Před 2 lety

      It’s an Amazon carb but I swapped out to the jets that was in the oem. Main jet is a 55 I believe not sure what Pilot jet is though
