Bees In The Poppies | 1000 Piece Galison Jigsaw Puzzle Time Lapse Video

I saw this puzzle and just knew I had to get it and assemble it. I had one of those experiences where you get excited by a puzzle and then when you start, you panic a little because it's actually harder than you initially thought. I knew this was going to be a harder one but figured there was enough variation in the color and flower shapes to make it not too bad. When I first started sorting the pieces I realized that it was going to be much harder than I thought.
It took me over four days to complete this puzzle. For context, all the previous 1,000-piece puzzles I've tackled were wrapped up in no more than two days. I hit my stride on the third day, especially when my husband briefly joined me. Once I surpassed the 50% completion mark, things really started to flow. Filming, however, presented a few hiccups - erratic lighting due to storms, and during one session, I ran out of memory, losing about 15-20 minutes of footage. It's noticeable, so I thought it worth mentioning.
Surprisingly, I genuinely enjoyed the process of putting this puzzle together. Despite my initial apprehension about its difficulty, I found it to be a fun challenge. My favorite aspect was discovering all the little insects and bugs nestled among the flowers. Being a Galison puzzle, the quality is excellent, with well-fitting pieces and no false fits. The glossy finish did pose a challenge, though. I need to figure out better lighting for puzzles with this finish. Nevertheless, the colors and image looked stunning with that finish, even if it made for a more demanding puzzling experience.

Most of the pieces are just two ins and two outs? Good thing there are no large sections of the same color.

Yes! That's really the main reason that I found it so hard. If it was a random cut or just had more variation on how many ins/outs there were then it would have been much easier. Absolutely agree that I'm glad there were no really large solid sections.
