Ah, the old FOX logo.
Christopher B. Ikr
Christopher B. the old logo looks kinda cool
It looks the same to me. But don’t let that stop your imagination though!
@@KingNichijou I guess its only you, because it looks very different back then.
Ah Brian and chris being the most hearable voice in the ending of the intro
Remember everyone, this show used to be good.
And Meg's middle name wasn't "Punching Bag".
Remember Seth MacFarlane actually used to give a shit about this show
Remember stewie wasn’t a walking gay joke and wasn’t only funny around brian
@@therealsapdad1942 He's forced under a contract to keep making the show. He originally wanted to end the show around Season 7 or 8
@@GumSkyloard and was voiced by Lacey Chabert, not Mila Kunis.
Lois starts singing before she pops up on screen
Its even in the newer seasons
That means it’s intentional :|
True lol
No shit
In this version, Chris' voice sticks out more
I did a video where in the new one you can here Chris its Called Family guy New theme song but Chris is singing cheek it out
@@ricardopratt5190 tf
@@frederick5175 He solved the world’s problems, we need more Chris
Okay nvm
@@fanimations4431 Bonnie has a channel with family gals theme song and it's really cool you should check it out type Meg and Harley in there prom dresses and then yull see family gals in the videos that's it it sounds cool
The day the Simpsons first encountered the third kind of adult animated sitcoms.
Not really adult, more as a "mixed" show.
More dark than Simpson less dark than South Park tho family guy did do some stuff somehow darker than South Park (not very often tho) on SOME Accasions
Also, season 10 of the simpsons was airing still, and it was right at the start of it's decline
Actually, Family Guy's premiere episode aired after The Simpsons season 10 premiere iirc
I love the use of dialogue before the theme song and wish Family Guy kept that method.
It's called a cold open
American Dad does that (aII the time) ever since it’s on TBS
@@voiceofreason2691I know a few other shows that do that as well (mostly YT ones)
If my parents ever gave me those punishments, I would leave the house immediately.
Shut up meg
Same meg😂😂😂😂
Frischimation no shit
No you wouldn’t because you’d be dead
Fun fact: no one cares 🌈
Happy 20th Anniversary
@IOS king 201 No 22

Happy 25th Anniversary now
seasons 1-3 was the golden years of family guy.
What about 4 and 5? Because 1-5 are the episodes I watch more
And Spongebob
I thought Season 4 was pretty good. It had one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. PTV. Season 5 had decent, to good to amazing episodes. Seasons 6-8 had a few good episodes. I think the decline started happening around Season 9-10 with the animation budget and changes in writing style. I think the first 8 Seasons were the golden days of Family Guy
@@CartoonLover9000 Same here
IMO it was seasons 2-6, season 1 was meh to me
Back when all of the characters were lovable.
What
i still hate chris with a burning passion
@@Intentionallyfrogged Chris is awesome
True in a desperate attempt on staying relevant the made the characters mean spirited and unlikeable
well technically before all the characters were loveable
Television history. Thank you for uploading this.
The fact it's the same intro but just a little slowed down is awesome
Slowed down? It's the same speed now as it was back then unless you're talking about like some sort of syndication edit like when it aired on tbs
@@CrashFan03 maybe the slightly off sync singing in this intro is what's throwing the commenter into thinking it's slowed down.
@@90sNath Not the cheap singing in the new intro though
There's a secret in this version.
In this one i can hear chris meg and stewie singing
i used to love how when they get to the "hes, a, family, guy" part you can hear the people appearing on screen at that moment. you can hear megs happy voice, chris' enthusiastic voice, and brians monotone one. now they dont have them in it.
They muted Chris sometime in the later seasons. (Unsure if he even is heard any more)
Happy 20th Anniversary!!!
@Nicholas Negosian yes
I was Stewies age when this came out
Carl 1?
I was 6 years old back then
i wasnt even alive
I was -4
I was 10 days old.
No one notices how wonderful brian does with the note slurs and vibratos, he sounds like a jazz singer..
Happy 20th Anniversary Family Guy!!
I love the family guy intro so much
ON THIS DAY - 25 years ago, 'Family Guy' first premiered on FOX.
Happy “ late birthday” family guy
Holy! The intro hasn’t even ended and the baby has already said the F word!
~a viewer in 1999 probably
When did he say the f word?
People have misinterpreted the “laugh and cry” as “effin cry” iirc
@@foco5657 He doesn’t, it’s because Stewie’s “L” in the laugh and cry bit wasn’t clear.
F'IN CRY

for a vhs tape from the 90s, this audio quality is amazing
Its got Hi-Fi Audio
Quahog, 1999.
It's the first day of family guy
I really love the Fox airing of the intro of Family Guy in 1999 after the Super Bowl. That’s because my father and I love that hit comedy series so much in our lives.
The best animated TV series on FOX, now streaming on Disney Plus. : )
My childhood. 😢 no joke I used to have to watch vintage cartoons when I was little and one of them was family guy and when I was 2-3 I was in love AND I STILL FRICKING AM
Family guy is vintage?
@@LoveKanye-yz7ly Suprisingly, yes. It was in a vintage cartoon collection from around 60-20 years ago and family guy was on it and I loved it. Even tho i didn’t understand it :|
@@maybelogan well, family guy is from 1999 so I wouldn’t call it vintage
@@KingColdGamingOfficial i dont know why they did that then.
@@maybelogan me either, the first episode aired January 31, 1999, there was a rough pilot from 1998 and the idea for the show came from a short called the life of Larry witch was from 1995
i'm suprised at how clean the audio is on this tape
The thing that family guy and SpongeBob have in common
1. Aired in 1999
2. Aired after an important event
And had seasonal rot lol
@@MacLover-yp5exbut both went thru redemption

Happy 25th Anniversary to the Family Man
0:05 They’re watching a kids show and a adult show at the same time
I stumbled upon this show around 2012-2013 when I was 6-7 at my grandmas house when The Amazing World of Gumball ended on Cartoon Network, and CN became Adult Swim for the night. I thought all cartoons were for kids. I’m 15 now.
I first saw it in 2000 when my brother accidentally switched to the adult channel fox. I also discovered the Simpsons.
I saw it when I was 8 or 9 around 2007-8 like that, really stated watching it in 2010-11 but oh yeah it was our shit on Adult Swim
You can really hear chris in the last part
You can
I like how greg head turn around little bit in this more than he not turn his head around

Happy 20th Anniversary Family Guy

Pretty bold to start your show with another completely unrelated family
I was introduced to the show at a conceringly young age, I wanna say 3
But that’s because I always saw my older sisters watching it and I got into it.
Same, when ever i was like 2 or 3 i saw my dad watching it and i decided to join him. Ive been hooked ever since
I first saw this show when I was 4, but I didn’t know the name of the show nor did I know any of the characters at the time. And I only watched it once. Until 6 years later.
@@okjeffy6581 yeah.
@@okjeffy6581 I had almost the same situation but with The Amazing World Of Gumball. Saw either the premiere or one of the first reruns of the first episode when I was 6 (going with premiere though cause of the screenbug I remember) but didn't know what the show name was either or who anybody really was. Didn't watch it again until I was like 10 or 11 with the first episode of the 2nd season (way after it released), got hooked ever since.
Same, I was like 5 when I first saw family guy and at that time I was getting ready to go to school

FINALLY FOUND IT
Aah, Back when Family Guy was rated TV PG (The same TV rating as TEEN TITANS GO!)
That's because back then, Family Guy didn't rely so much on shock humor
Well thanks for bringing up cringe

Back then it was Tv-PG cause it didn’t rely on shock humor
Nowadays it is rated TV-14

I can’t find one family guy video without og’s complaining about new seasons.. smh.
Any form of media that lasts longer than 10 years ends up like this eventually, especially TV shows. Content degradation is a real thing but people are also expecting way too much from a show that had a two minute skit of the characters throwing up after drinking ipecac for a slice of pie lol.
@@Dougdimmadingleling you’re right about that lol
"See that's the worse we got is Jemima's Witnesses" HAHAHA. WOW. That aged horribly. Or…maybe it didn't?

nah, it was just for the promos
Legendary... Now that FOX is owned by... them... and finding the first episode of a popular show.
It seems like even the family guy himself lost those fashioned values at some point.
And that's if he counts as a family guy anymore.
