- Docville is located an hour east of Toronto, Canada. It's been used as a movie location for the film Hollywoodland with Ben Affleck playing Superman. There were also episodes of twelve monkies filmed there as well as countless B-movies and music videos. It's run by Steve "Doc" Holliday, a descendant from the famous Doc Holliday from the old west. There are many buildings including a Saloon, Sheriff's Office, General Store, Hotel, Barn and many other structures. Most were built from wood reclaimed during the 1980s for local area barns.
I wonder if Doc is going his own way.
We spoke about the federal reserve and he seems to be a libertarian. Didn't get any other information.
I think it Docville looks a little hokey for it being an authentic historical time set but you can tell the man puts a lot of effort into the place and is proud of it.
It's a historic farm converted to a wild west town. Adaptive reuse at it's finest and he's made a business out of it.
@@koolbuildings7916 Impressive indeed. A lot of movies are filmed there so there's that
Just saw this Awesome bud!
Doc has a lot of free time on his hands. He has probably been the local character his entire life.
Great video and history
Steve Doc Holiday is quite correct that it is an authentic western town. (In the east coast)
Hopefully it would stay intact in the future tobe used by indie producers.
It certainly is used by indie productions.
