Crawling with Gottfried RC (Video 1, uphill)

- On December 27th 2023 I met with Dirk from Gottfried RC to go out on a crawl.
It was cold, rainy and wet, but it was so much fun. The footage is taken, while we went up the hill.

We were at the park "Halde Großes Holz" in Bergkamen (google maps code: JJF7+6H Bergkamen ). 87 metres difference in height from the parking lot to the top.
By the way the Beluga had no issues on this almost four hour trip. The 4500 mAh 2S LiPo battery didn´t got to it´s limits. The car kept up with the TRX-4 Sport from Gottfried.

Thanks a lot Antonio. I'm really happy with the Beluga. Long trailing and just remove some dirt's a good start. As soon as the rain stops, I go to a more challenging spot with more rocks to test the limits of the car😉

Oh, yes! Great video with two of my favourite German CZcams RC guys! Even though the weather looked a bit gray, looked like a nice day out, and of course some cool footage! I likes the camera angle in one of the first shots where you included the remote, very interesting!

Thanks Al. So far I'm fine with the upgrades. The motor runs smooth and the tires bite. For sure there'll be a video with rocks as soon as it'll stop raining here to push teh car further to it's limits. But four hours of driving with just one battery's a great base to start with.

Danke sehr Markus. Wir waren in Berkamen, quasi in der Mitte. Dirk kommt aus Dortmund. Das Krakselvideo kommt noch. Ich suche derzeit nach Steinen hier, wird aber wohl auf die Böschung vom Dortmund-Ems-Kanal herauslaufen und da muss erst mal wieder Wasser ablaufen, damit er überhaupt eine Böschung hat.😉

Netter Versuch! 😉 Lass mich raten... Du hast Deine GoPro, oder was auch immer auf'm Kopf befestigt? Finde ich für Crawler absolut suboptimal. 🤷♂ Beim Crawlen muss man näher dran sein. Dafür befestige ich in der Regel nen Selfiestick an der Funke. Dann kannst Du Aufnahmen näher am Auto machen, ohne permanent in der Hocke oder gebückt zu sein und hast auch über das Display einigermaßen im Blick was gerade aufgenommen wird.
Liest sich erstmal gemein, ist aber nur gut gemeint! 😀
Alles gut. Du hast ja recht, es war die Brust und zusäzlich eine Cam am Stick, ohne Gimble. Und ich bin immer für kostruktive Kritik dankbar, so kann ich was ändern. Aufgrund der Mehrheit der Floraaufnahmen gibt es von vier Stunden Material auch nur 2 x 5 Minuten Videos. Gottfried hatte eine bessere Befestigung als ich. Daher nächsten Freitag bitte noch einmal Zähne zusammenbeissen.😉
Beim nächsten Ausritt wird die Kameraführung behoben. Und dann geht es über Steine und es wird richtig gecrawlt. Es gibt da einen deutschen und einen englischen Kanal, die noch nicht so ganz vom Beluga überzeugt sind.😁
@@RCBirds Einen Gimble habe ich aus Kostengründen bisher auch noch nicht. Muss ich mal dran arbeiten. ;-) Mir geht es ja auch weniger darum wie wackelig die Aufnahmen sind, sondern die Perspektive. Anyway... Ich bin mal auf das nächste "Action"-Video gespannt...! 😁
@@Wurstkommission habe zwar einen Gimble, wurde hochgelobt, aber tuts irgendwie nicht. Die besten Aufnahmen habe ich bisher mit einem ausgefarenem Stativ und Handy gemacht und dann um das Auto rum und das Auto um mich. Aber, Du liegst richtig, schnelle Buggys sind was komplett anderes als Crawler. Im Februar sehen wir, ob ich es hinbekommen habe😉
@@Wurstkommission hi, Du wirst lachen, die Lösung stand 3 Jahre im Regal. Es ist der Handyhalter von Traxxas, den ich für die Telemetrie brauchte. Nun ist es der neue Kamerahalter und sehr praktisch. Beide Hände an der Funke, keine Stangen, Stative oder umständliche Actioncambefestigungen mehr. Einzig der Autofokus fehlt.
