I too prefer AGF solid pure for feel and drape. I tend to avoid Kona due to fraying issues but agree their color selection is best; I do use it when I can’t find a good coordinating solid in another brand. Can’t recall ever using Northcott solids so will need to give them a try. Thank you for sharing you experiences with these brands! I also appreciate the background color options, with mock-ups on your site!

Have you tried the Riley Blake solids? I'm loving them in our shop! Much better 'hand' than the Kona in my opinion. Great video!

I haven't tried them, but thanks for the tip. I'll check them out.

Thank you so much for this video. I often buy fabric online so making decisions can be tough. I found your video because I’m interested in learning how quilters feel about Art Gallery Fabrics for quilts. I’ve used them in three quilts and have to say I'm not sure I like the lightweight crisp feel in a quilt, although it does sew up beautifully and I do love the colors and prints. The three quilts I made using AGF were gifted and donated so I’ve never actually snuggled with one of them myself. They just don’t seem like they would be as cozy as some of the other quality cottons. Am I missing something? I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m going to look into the Colorwork solids. Thank you,

Art Gallery fabrics is the creme de la creme of fabric. There is nothing softer or cozier in my opinion. ❤️

I love widebacks - especially the sateens. (I have many brands/vintages and the feel of them runs the gammut. I find the batting effects the drape most on my quilts.)

Do you still have the fabrics you used on the last Soulshine quilt you showed? I love it.

I don't have the bundles anymore (though we will get those back in stock soon). I do have quite a bit of the collection left though. You can find it here: meanderandmake.com/collections/cinnamon-tea/ .

I refuse to buy Kona solids any more - they drive me crazy with their fraying!
Art Gallery is my first choice for a solid, and next I like RJR Cotton Supreme Solids.
I'm not that picky when it comes to choosing an exact shade of solid color that I MUST have.
