The title of the book he referred to is When The Moon Split compiled by Safiur-Rahman Mubarakpuri which was written originally in Urdu. It was edited and translated to english by Tabassum Siraj, Michael Richardson and Badr Azimabadi.
I think the paragraph that he quoted refer to the situation during the time before the coming of islam and after the coming of islam. Because in the next paragraph, it explained the culture of the arabs before islam. They fight over trivial matters. But with the coming of islam, it all change.

The context of the last incident brought by the Christian man:
After Khaybar, prophet Mohammad PBUH went to "Wadi Al-Qura" to invite them to Islam, and when the servant of the prophet PBUH was putting down the luggage (his name was Mid'am), an arrow killed this servant.
Prophet PBUH prepared the army for the war. He PBUH tried to invite them to Islam but they rejected, and a fighter came forth and called for duel. Az-Zobayr dueled him and killed him. Then another man called for duel and was killed, up to 11 duels and all of them were killed by Muslims.
Then the battle began and lasted until evening. Muslim won, and the Jews surrendered.
Interesting. Never heard of this encounter before.
This man is spreading false information with a gentle approach. He is NOT offering any backup to his claims. He claims to be curious seeking information/clarifications, but he doesn't seem to have an open mind for the information he's seeking.

The word "THEY" here is referring to who? The Jews or the Prophet SAW? According to him, it refers to the Prophet SAW but if you read the words again, it is more likely referred to the Jews of Wadi Al-Qura.

Actually, the Qur'an is the real verses in the hearts of those who are given knowledge. And no one denies our verses except the wrongdoers (surah al Ankabut verse 49)
There should be a reference to the battle, like the name or place. You can't just make up this battle or that battle with this Jew or that Jew that you didn't know where or when the battle took place.

On his second question, The delegation of Banu Abdul Madan, I think he mixed up with other story because Banu Abdul Manan readily accept islam according to the book. The Prophet SAW sent Khalid bin Waleed to them to invite them to islam for 3 days and if they refused, he was allowed to use force to make them subjects of the Islamic state. The keyword here is ' he was allowed ' not ' he was told '.

I think the simple way of explaining is that even though the Prophet (saws) had the right to go to war against that tribe for killing the ambassador, he gave them the option to revert to Islam and keep their territorial sovereignty rather than being fought and incorporated into and being subjects of the Islamic state and following their own religion. He (saws) did not need to offer the first option, but it is a sign of his compassion and generosity that he did. Any other secular state would simply go to war without any bounds

im more curious on the book the man hold and used,,whats its name and who is the author.. looked a lot like a mix and match upp book about war but no context to it.. wery strange thing to be published if it is from islamic sources.. as i know they are wery serious about printing the whole scenario and describe it to its fullest without editing so to say..like explaining from where they get their sources for the history and its chain of narration.. cant have tom,dick and larry write 1500 years apart or even worse to use unknown sources would be a tabu.
