The first time I saw the movie & heard any of the songs was 12/14/2020. The whole movie & especially this song hit so close to home it was difficult to watch & I kept stopping it because I was crying so much. This beautiful song was like a knife slicing through my broken heart. I lost my husband of 21 years 6.5 months ago, after his 3rd stroke, he was only 58. He was in a coma & in a hospital that, of course, was closed to everyone because of COVID-19. I didn't get to talk to him, I couldn't see him, except for a picture that was taken, before or after he passed away, there's no way to tell. It was then I saw that he hadn't been taken very good care of, as if they'd stopped any kind of grooming months before. He was always very particular about his hair & mustache, but he was almost unrecognizable with long gray hair & a long shaggy gray beard. I never said goodbye. And every word in this song is exactly how I feel.

Exactly. I had 3 beautiful children with my ex husband. My love became a DIFFERENT kind of love and he couldn't understand that. 29 years 10 years being separated. When he had a stroke... I was in shock 😲. What broke my heart 💔 in pieces was the man I loved, father to our children and loved by so many people was not coming back. It's been since the end of October and I cry all the time. Fond memories of US, when we became a family, to all the adventures camping, going to the lake, fishing, bbqs, to his sense of humor, dancing, singing, to the FABULOUS birthday parties for our kids, to his family- sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews who adored their "TIO Quique'. Everyone and everyone listened to him. Yet, we Loved him so much. I don't think he knew how incredibly Loved he was. I'm sure it would of helped to hear it. I miss him, our kids miss Dad like F@#$. When I listen to this I think of my parents. Together 48 years. Married 42. My mom is dying of stage 4 cancer. My father is numb. There will never be another woman to replace my mom once that time comes. I only think of him when I hear this. I have it on repeat.

What broke my heart 💔 in pieces was the man I loved, father to our children and loved by so many people was not coming back. It's been since the end of October and I cry all the time. Fond memories of US, when we became a family, to all the adventures camping, going to the lake, fishing, bbqs, to his sense of humor, dancing, singing, to the FABULOUS birthday parties for our kids, to his family- sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews who adored their "TIO Quique'.
Everyone and everyone listened to him. Yet, we Loved him so much. I don't think he knew how incredibly Loved he was.
