  • how to make an easy 5 frame nuc with minimal cuts, woodworking skills, and basic tool use.
This nuc is suited for people who plan on shaking packages in the spring, splitting beehives, or raising queens. They have a solid bottom to reduce accidents if you need to move them.
I plan on making a set of free plans, but the cuts are so simple I can list them here.
    2 @ 10 1/2" x 19 7/8" Sides.
    2 @ 10 1/2" x 7 3/4" Frame rest ends.
    2 @ 9 1/4" x 19 7/8" Top and Bottom.
It can be built with 3/4" plywood or solid wood boards. For future use in cold climates type 3 foam insulation can be wrapped around the box in case of emergency cold snaps.
A link to the cross cut jig can be found here.
