@@DominicGeralds Can you please keep these videos coming for future albums? I have really missed them and they are great for learning these difficult parts
I've been lucky enough to play this at New Hope Church in Concord Ca.at least a dozen times,AWESOME! to see Shae Wooten kicking out these low end grooves.
Man, this is the kind of worship tune I’ve been dying to play live since we switched to our on line broadcast only. It’s put a fire in my gut that is going to be so awesome to play live. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you, gents. I started working on this one yesterday. The video was very timely. @Shae Wooten, it took me a second to figure out you tuned down. Based on your finger placement I was trying to figure out the theory and it wasn't fitting. I'm blonde, you gotta give me an extra second 😁. Great job. Between this and Graves I've learned some cool tricks. BTW...take that jump to the 5 string. You'll love it. It's quite nice to have a low 4, 5 and 6 of your root at your fingertips. God bless.
@@shaewooten And now I see a fiver in your hands for "Jireh". Ha, I pulled out my 5-string as soon as I saw "Eb" on the screen! But I'm thinking that the open-string Eb may be preferred in this one.

Just learned Graves into Gardens and that one was tough...but Rattle...better take a 2 week vacation to learn this one on drums. Dom, you beast, stop writing fire drum parts that I can't figure out. 😂😂😂
My wife just bought me a custom P Bass with a drop D tuner. It will nice to get that low D and Eb without the extra weight of a 5 or 6 string bass. Now if I can just remember which fret the G is on. lol! I can't tell if you have a drop D tuner on that bass or not? Play on Brother. ;-)
Thats awesome! I love those hipshot tuners! Practicing running scale patterns in drop d will really help with that transition! This bass doesn't have a hipshot its just tuned down!
Hey Shae, I thought that I saw you on a 5 string sunburst on the live praise video of Rattle. I need details man. Don't leave me in the dark. We talked a while back about you looking into a 5ver, and I told you that I just bought a hipshop drop D tuner. I have been practicing with it, but have not used it on stage, YET. Hahaa! Keep up the good work brother. Maybe someday we will get to meet face to face, before we meet in Heaven.
@@shaewooten I spent a little time with Marcus about four years ago during a Sweetwater event here in Indiana. I live about 30 miles from Sweetwater sound and have a few buddies that work there. I remember Marcus lamented over the fact that he had lost his original bridge and pickup covers. He blamed it on being a dumb kid, not realizing how important they would be years down the road. I'm happy for you brother. I didn't get a 5 string, but I did take my custom Yamaha jazz with a P neck and stung it with 65 85 105 125. D A E B. If you do a bass video for My Testimony, is there any chance of seeing what's going on on the synth bass since its not just straight roots, and there are some actual fills in there?
Just learned this song on bass tonight @Shae Wooten what OD pedal are you using on this recording. It sounds great... I am getting pretty close with my 57P and a sansamp pedal.. Thanks! Great song BTW
Hey Aaron! I am using my hxstomp on this song. I always hit a very transparent OD at the beginning of my chain, that is always on, just to toast up everything that comes after. The primary OD is a Rat style distortion in the stomp that I run in parallel so I don’t lose any low end and can get pretty greatly with the OD.
Hey Shae! I've been using the HX Stomp trying to figure out what overdrive you're using (and anything else). I think I've gotten pretty close, but I can't quite figure it out. Do you have a preset for this song? God bless you and keep up the good work!!
@@shaewooten Gee, what are the chances they'd be online tomorrow (LOL). Trying to dial in a borrowed HX Stomp for Graves and then some other non-Elevation songs :) Borrowing before I decide if I want to take the plunge... the thing is a beast.
That's a good suggestion for MultiTracks.com or LoopCommunity.com! It could be another product that they offer. They're already working with the artist and label to get the multitrack for the song, the drum stems is a logical next step. You could also try buying the drum stem from them and chopping it up yourself
Hey Ben! I basically lay the back of my hand just to the left of the bridge and don’t pick it up until I need to notes to have a little more sustain. Experiment with playing downstrokes with a pick and slightly moving your muted hand to find the sweet spot. Hope this helps!
