Very nice job for sure, and although I am a full size track loader fan, it's tough to beat a D 3 sized dozer for spreading stone. Ctl' s are cool too. But far and away a good Operator on a full sized track loader is a workhorse.
I had the same thought. The dump truck operators around my area who deliver crushed rock etc don't have chains on their tail gates, so they can't spread effectively. Means more work for me spreading the material, but if it was an option I would definitely do it. Less fuel, less hours on the machine.
To make life easier have the dumptruck driver set his chains an spread it instead of dumping piles. Skidloader especially track loader videos showing their versatility always makes good videos.
Dude is good, no hesitation, smooth controls and quick outcome. I have a lot to learn. That dump truck guy sucked...there is a MUCH BETTER way to evenly spread gravel off the truck which would alleviate all this excellent skid steer work and increase efficiency.
It would have been nice if he had reverse spread it to keep his tires from tracking dirt onto the already graded section and so the operator didn't have to push backwards. But I think us operators secretly sometimes like it when truck drivers aren't perfect, we're happy when we have something to complain about and something to do while we're waiting on the next truck!
Well done recording this skid steer. By the way, I finally found a CAT D8 today and recorded it, man was it a nice machine! Rare to find one. Hope to publish it soon.

If you set the chains on the tailgate of the dump truck ya don't have to work nearly as had with the skid steer......
