- This drum cover was a request from my friend Michael Perry. CCR is not a go to band for me, but I have played a lot of their music over the years. This song is an interesting jam and I was sure to add plenty of my trade mark “The Hammer” fills in the song just to spice it up.
FYI, I used an old Gretsch 5x14 chrome over brass snare drum with an interesting “drum mute” made for me by my Granddaughter Madee. The mute is a crocheted square that was a small “cup coaster” that I taped to my rim using gaff tape. It added a gated sound effect to the snare. Anyhow, somebody might see it flapping around and ask that question! I thought it sounded cool so I used it. Thanks Madee! ❤️

I’m pretty sure I’m playing over the original drummer and percussion track! I seemed to have fun with this one! 8 hope you enjoyed it!
Rocking out Earl! Paiste Giant beats sound killer and perfect for this song! Homemade cup coaster as a snare muffler...? I would have asked if you hadn’t explained 😆. Sounds great! Video effects towards the end are cool also!
Rich Raw Dawg drums ... thanks Rich, I knew someone would want to know what that “floppy drum mute” was when I watched it! It actually worked really good to gate the sound without choking every bit of the sound. Thanks for asking!
Thank you Mike for this request!! CCR rocks and Earl just blew up this TUNE. Love it Love it Love it. Earl I'm saving this YOU made this tune sound GREAT👍💜🎼🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤘 hey how about tribute to Ginger Baker possibly some blind faith/cream?

cowbells rule.
sküll düggery 👍🏻
The feel of this song is off; that’s not how the drum part is played. The hi-hat is way too loud, it should also be a quarter note pulse not 8th notes. As for the bass drum he’s playing on the “and” of one and the “and” of 3 and then the “and” of 4 going in to beat one on the second measure.
Okay … I just played with a free drumless track on CZcams! I didn’t study the drummer because I played it a hundred times on gigs! But you are probably right.
