Wow, that was nice to see - and very instructive. You are lucky, over here in France there are no "yellow" only "bright red no-no". Fortunately we have a lot of mountain fields, but it not really the same... you can't plant your flag and give the place a name. Excellent video work as usual. Looking forward to the next one!

#9 to vote "Spooky Pete's." Glad you like it, too.
When I first started watching your tube, oldest first, the flying felt pretty wild and free-wheeling. It's videos like this that highlight the other side -- the calculation, caution, and skill you bring to it. All of it's good stuff. Thank you. Hope to run into you sometime, maybe when I've got the hours to join the Flying Cowboys.

It seems as the first destination was sort of a bowl. So, my suggestion is: Pete’s Soul Bowl, a remote STOL landing area.
The second destination, more generic: Pete’s Downhillian. Of course depending on the wind speed and direction.
Great narration and vlog work. We don’t have the open hilly terrain here in Georgia. Beautiful high plains scenery in your region. Enjoy the flying. Nice touch with the drone vid as well.

The ONX Hunt app is one I’ve used for a few years now to map private parcels, and get the names of landowners, for determining where I can ride ATVs, or who I might need to ask for permission. It’s a great app! By the way, Trent, I recently discovered your channel, so I’m a new subscriber. I’ve been a huge fan of tail-wheel/push type flying ever since I discovered the “cub driver” films a few years back. I’ve been a Cherokee pilot for 11 years now and even gone commercial in helicopters, but I’m definitely considering getting some tail-wheel experience myself!! Your videos are amazing, keep up the good work! Also, just an FYI that might be helpful...when I was in Helicopter school, we used to use an acronym (W.O.P.P.P.S) when scouting for off field landings. Wind, Obstacles, Path in, Path out, Powerlines, and Sun. Most of these are self-explanatory, but the sun is a common one that can bite an inexperienced pilot. If it’s blasting you in the face on approach or departure, it can dramatically impair visibility, as you well know. Just a small helpful tip!!

  • @danielforde-pogson9557
