  • I thought for April 1st I'd do something different :-) This is a simulation of Delta Airlines flight 2912 from Tampa to Atlanta in subLOGIC's Flight Assignment ATP simulator...and just to show how far we've come I've recorded the same flight in XP11 • X-Plane 11 Flight Fact... .
This is where it all started for me and I cannot recall how many hours I played this game. So please enjoy ATP in amazing EGA graphics with 16 colors and an amazing 640×350 resolution! Just to put things into perspective; this game came on four 5 1/4 disks. So the entire game is smaller than the background image for XP 11's loading screen.
Flight Assignment ATP was released in 1990 for MS-DOS based PCs and while it looks ancient by today's standard, it was a significant milestone in flight simulation back then, allowing players to fly heavy jets across the United States with full ATC and a "realistic" flight model.
Mods: subLOGIC Flight Assignment A.T.P. plain vanilla.
    Specs: Intel Core i9 9900k @ 4.8 GHz, Asus Geforce RTX 2070 Dual-O8G, 32 GB RAM

When you realize you have acid in the jacket and you don’t wanna throw it out before going through the TSA precheck

I remember having flown Sublogic Flight Assignment ATP back in the 90's. It was actually the better flight simulator IMO at that time with a whopping 480 navigation aid's across the entire country that MS Flight simulator didn't have. The modeling was also known to be more accurate and it contain a FMC in which got you going in programming a flight route. I following the beta testing during and reading the reports from various users and I recall some feature were strip out before the final release. I have the original manual with the Flight Simulator ATP before the last min name change to Flight Assignment ATP; due to that unfortunates court battle over the name. It spite of it Sublogic did a really great job and it's sad they are not around. Its too bad you didn't have USA East and West install with its stunning night lighting of its time. It was a great software and keep me entertain for many years.

Amazing. Takes me all the way back to Microsoft Flight Simulator 5.1 and my first journeys into scenery, flying planes (props and jets), instrument landing systems, and a growing community. It’s amazing how far we’ve come.

Great video! I just found one of my Sublogic maps!.....so easy to use to navigate. I used to lock myself in my flight sim enclosure for hours at a time...
