There are a lot of people playing shinobi striker, you'd be suprised, I've been playing it for a while recently and the only problem I find are molders and people out of my leagues in my games
More single player options would be the only way to save the game, along with offering ways to unlock older dlc characters without spending money. The online community will never thrive without some heavy attention to balancing. Which i wouldn’t hold against creators but the toxic ass player base. New players with 0 experience or dlc get matched with sweats and 9/10 end up just deleting the game. It’s not even a skilk issue just a wallet issue
The biggest problem i have is that when you lose, 9/10 you never feel like you lost to someone better than you. You always get left feeling like you lost to someone who spent more money than you on the game or a minmaxing cheese abuser. The storm series lasted because of it’s overall balance
If they added a good story mode with double health, jutsu,secret techniques and combos with any type jutsu and weapons and more maps n more game modes it’d be lit!
If shinobi striker add big update instead of these little small one with different weapon maybe they can do a tourtment against 6 people beside that it a really good game

Most players solo queue and match up against 4stacks all using claws and cheese abilities. Not to mention the over reliance on dlc leaving you feeling as if you need to spend money to not only be competitive but have fun in general. All the need to do is add offline missions that can rival quests in xenoverse2 and it would be the go to for every single anime and naruto fan. Until then it’ll forever be seen as a shallow cash grab

Well it isn’t necessarily dead, it still has a pretty big community, it just isn’t mainstream due to exactly what you said, lack of gamemodes/variety
