I’m no longer on a team but I find these tips helpful when I attempt to street skate.
I jus lov that u have protection on! Thank u!
I 'always' wear my protevtion even if practising at home.
I lov that u have all ur ptotection on.
Thank u
I always wear mine even wen practising at home
This is so helpful! Thank you so much. It’s encouraging to know that these postures/movements are not “natural” and that it will take a lot of practice for my body to get used to being in certain positions. Thanks again!
Yesterday, our coach has us Freshies attempt the 27/5. I did 20/5 and now I see a few mistakes I made when it came to my crossovers. Definitely about to practice this! Thanks BQ
This is a top notch breakdown and explanation. Thank you. I can't wait to see Part 2.
super glad you liked it! New one is coming out ASAP!
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to passing my 27/5
You have nailed many of my difficulties with cross overs. And, you explain the fundamentals with brilliant clarity. Thank you!
Thank you so so much for this! I got the hang of crossovers pretty quick but I noticed by back leg was idling behind. After taking your suggestions I've managed to develop a much stronger understride!
Thanks for this video! I have finally learned a crossover but want to make them nice and strong. These drills are perfect for that!
Awesome! Finally a Vancouver based roller skating channel 💖💖 gonna have to hit that area if it’s a good skate spot!
4:05 is a wonderful demonstration! Thank you for being so detailed!
Thanks for the feedback :)
Excellent instruction. Thank you.
So awesome!! Thank you!!
Started derby boot camp two weeks ago and found your channel last week. Excellent, informative videos!! Thank you for the videos!
You're welcome! Glad they're helpful to you Geneva!
This is amazing! Thank u
Officially started Fresh Meat boot camp yesterday. I had been watching your videos and downloaded the RDA app to get me ready beforehand
Awesome 👏 tips ☝️✌️🏋️ thanks for sharing
Still regularly making these mistakes a year and a half in :O Thanks for the helpful tips!
You are great.
The crossunder I needed to learn.
Thankyou
Never seen these issues
How long should you practice this technique before you transfer it to on skates?
Does this apply on inline skates as well?
Do the techniques only apply to a lower stance ( derby stance?) I've seen people doing a more casual ( taller, more straight up and down stance) at the rink. Does this taller stance just come naturally, as they are not looking for speed?
Cool channel new sub
Great to hear, thank you!
I have a question. Why do they wear the low top skates with a no heal rather than the traditional high top skates with heals? It would seem you would have better ankle support with high top skates
With more ankle support you get less ankle flexibility, which is needed in derby skating.
👍🏿
Still dont understand. U should do more footage of u skating in slow motion
Thanks for the constructive feedback! I'll explore doing more slow motion video in the future :)
