This is the 2nd time BTS has covered an English song this year (2021) for MTV Unplugged it was Coldplay’s “Fix You”. Now for BBC Radio 1 “I’ll Be Missing You”, with RM doing the opening rap in English like the original and Suga and J-hope substituting Korean lyrics for their parts. My personal opinion, Jimin is the MVP for Faith Evan's high notes. Special Shout out to The Police, Sting, Puff Daddy/P. Diddy, Faith Evans, 112. 90s Vibe. Tribute to Biggie Small aka Notorious B.I.G. and ARMY in present time. I'm so proud. We miss you BTS.💜

The were great on the Tiny Desk Concert. However, my all time favorite is when BTS did "Ma City" live and even took the opportunity to introduce each member of Ghost. Really a great crazy performance....

Not only is this song originally written for Biggie. This song is relevant to people especially now since so many people have lost loved ones from the pandemic.
The original song "Every breath you take" was written by Sting and performed by The Police.
Diddy reimagined it as "I'll be missing you" in memory to the passing of Biggie.
BTS has taken the "I'll Be Missing You" version and adapted it to illustrate how much they miss ARMY and in memory of all the loved ones we have lost since Covid-19 emerged. They have done a beautiful job meshing the new lyrics, including the Korean rap verses, into the original song.
