- Here's my look at the zords featured in the third season of MMPR Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; the ninja and shogun zords!
I will tell you this. First I cover the Ninjazords, then the Ninja Megazord, Ninjor, Shogunzords, Shogun Megazord and FINALLY.... Titanus and the Ultrazord configuration.
All of the Ninja/Shogan Zords from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 3 with the exception of the Battle Borgs.
These are (for the most part) the same toys featured in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (忍者戦隊カクレンジャ)`

In Japan, the Shogun Zords came BEFORE the Ninja Zords. They were switched around because they needed a Zord for all six rangers.
Why couldn’t they just have the shogun zords and the falcon zord?
@@JayKayEllEmm in the super sentai version that they get the shogun zords from, there wasn't a pink ranger. The pink shogun zord was actually just white. All the shogun zords you find on ebay dont have the pink version from what I've seen
The footage that the Ninja and Shogun Zords came from was from Ninja Sentai Kaku Ranger which only had five rangers. The Shogun zords were their first zords. Then they received the Alien Rangers Battle Borgs then the Falconzord was a standalone drone that appeared to help and finally the ninja zords were their last zords.

You aren’t wrong, the falconzord does have a spot for batteries in the chest. However, like Superhuman Syber Squad’s Servo (aka Gridman), they gutted that feature at some point and hoped that no one would notice if they didn’t mention it.
All these years later, now I know. I always thought the wing ends were meant to light up!
dealing with the ninja zords: the ape swords can plug onto its back (i used to have them plugged on in megazord mode as wrist blades), i think the arms also extended, the hand cap can also be stored under the bear and the wolf hand plugs onto its butt while they are in animal mode. for those Shogun Zord weapons the ring at the end of the staff combines with the handle to the claw.
In Sentai, it's strange. The Shogun Megazord was the first one and is the main Megazord, while the Ninja Megazord came last. The seasons suits were used for the Alien Rangers, who first used themselves, grown gigantic as slimmed down versions of the Shogun Zords.
It's crazy how they can change the stories so much.

I'm really regretting selling all these ten years ago. I had them all up to lost galaxy.
From what I've seen/heard, he was rescued (along with the Falconzord), recaptured by Master Vile, re-rescued, then was pretty much not seen again with the explanation that when Master Vile turned time backwards, the temple where they first met Ninjor wouldn't be discovered for quite some time...or something like that.
His name was rito revolto.
He and goldar destroyed the command centre in the finale.
The TV origin was this: Rito REVOLTO, along with an army of past monsters from seasons 1 and 2, overwhelmed and destroyed the Thunderzords and the Rangers Dino Powers, which had them seek out Ninjor and the ninja powers.
Mighty morphin power rangers season 3 will always be my personal favorite power rangers series

love the nostalgia factor of these toys. I never had them when I was a kid, but my friend had pretty much all of them, we'd play with them for hours. Thanks for these vids
The original Japanese Falconzord (Tsubasamaru) had lights and sound, however that gimmick wasn't crossed over to the version outside of Japan. I noticed that the 2nd Titanus had a grey tail, instead of a white one like the original release. Yep Ninjor was re-painted red and re-released for Ninja Storm, though he never appeared on the show as his character was not part of that Sentai series. Thanks for the info though on the 2nd Titanus' own Dragonzord chest piece. :)

the pnk ranger did not have a shogun zord, it was a white on the show

It was repainted because there wouldve been 2 white zords, and Tommy piloting 2 zords at once wouldve been very difficult
Mmpr power rangers season 3 was actually my third personal favorite power rangers series and it was just spectacular I need ninja ranger power now
The original Japanese version had the batteries and the wing tips lit up

@@theheavenlyfb4071 I imagine it's less laziness, since it would take effort to change the design, and more cost cutting. The Sentai versions of these types of figures always seem to have more chrome and electronics compared to the Power Rangers versions.
The Sentai version of the Mega-Falconzord has got Lights and Sounds. The Sounds are "shooting-sounds" and the light is at the end from his wings. (They were showed in some Fights when the Falconzord started an attack.)

Rito ambushed the Thunder Megazord and the Tiger Zord in Warrior mode.
The Command Center's computer overloaded and blew up,striping the rangers of their powers and destroying the zords.

I think the only different thing was they used the shogun megazord sword other than that the movie version was CGI but i don't think that would matter in my option but i could be wrong
The animals and the configuration are the same, but the look is so drastically different between the two. The movie version has a sword, while the show version has the special punches from the ape and wolf.
This is why I'm very disappointed that it seems like Bandai took the easy way out and put the show version in the movie box again with the Legacy Ninja Megazord. Supposedly we are getting the Ninja coins some time this year, which was the other thing I was hoping for this time around.

The alien Rangers had the shogunzord first

+Mike Awesome the costumes of the alien rangers were from the Sentai where the mecha came from, Kakuranger. The pink one is recolored because Bandai of america thought that a pink one would make sense. But hey, the mold was the same!. I wish I got one of the mecha, like dekaranger robot. I only got dekabreak when I was young xd

The Ape's arms extend. It's the only part of the Ninja Megazord that I have left from my youth.
From what i remember in season 3, Rito Revolto showed up and helped Rita and Zedd destroy the Thunderzords and Tigerzord, the Rangers went to find Ninjor and the Ninjazords and returned to earth to defeat Rito with the NinjamegaFalconzord
All I know is that the Muteki Shogun (Shogun Megazord) and the Great Beast Generals (Shogun Zords) came first. Then Ninjor (I don't remember his Kakuranger name) followed by the Falconzord (Again, don't remember it's name but it was a sentient mech, piloted by no one) and then the Super Beast Generals (Ninja Zords) and their giant mech mode (DOn't remember they combined form). All the beast generals and the falcon were Ninja Gods(?) I believe

@bonnertom032 In the source series, Kakuranger, Tsubasamaru (the Falconzord) did not belong to any specific ranger, it was just a mecha that could combine with either the Shogun Megazord or the Ninja Megazord, similar to the "carrier" zords in the previous seasons. It became the White Ranger's zord in MMPR, and Ninjawhite's Crane became the Pink Ranger's zord. Ninjawhite's White Kark became the White Ranger's White Shogun zord on the show, hence no pink shogun zord.

The ninja ape zord’s swords are chrome on the sentai version, the wolf zord’s hand attaches on the back of the bear zord, ninjor’s sword is gold on the japanese version

the season 3 zords had oddities. for one, the change to pink cranes was because the zords came from Kakuranger, whose suits were used for the Alien Rangers. the originally white zords had pink added to them. another thing was that the Shogun megazord was the first mech in Kakuranger, while the Ninja Megazord came second. the battleborgs are really less armored versions of the Shogun Zords. on a last note, the shogun zord weapons corresponded to the kakurangers', red's a shuriken, not a shield

Yea, a lot of the individual Zord stuff was cut out of Season 3, partially because they were still using the Zyuranger suits, but partially because the show apparently used Batman '66-esque sound effect balloons a lot.
Not always. Q-Rex, Dragonzord, Tigerzord, Titanus, Red Battlezord, Robo Racer, Astro Megazord, Delta Megazord all had their electronics reinstated during the rebranding process. Most likely an electronic Falconzord would have cost the same as a deluxe counterpart and Bandai was worried it would hurt sales. Shogun and Ninja Megazords were 30-40 bucks a piece depending on retailer and Falconzord was 15-25.

You wanna know something funny the ninja ultrazord and shogun ultrazord never existed in the Japanese sentai version so when you saw either megazord getting into titanus they were using the actual toys for the megazord sequence
I never had the Shogun Megazord when I was a kid because I wasn't into the whole non dinosaur/animal zord thing, but as an adult I'm really digging it. I'm glad we're getting a legacy version of it after the Ninja Megazord

I had/have a falcon zord from Toys R Us and it has electronics it was so cool ad a kid to play with the sounds and lights.

Yes, because is Kakuranger (the japanese version, which the Alien Ranger suits come from) there is no Pink, it's instead white. For toy reasons it was painted white.
yes those little blades r the weapon of the Ape Ninjazord and Falconzord DID have electronics, in its original Super Senti version. Bandai of America customarily rips the good bits of Senti mecha out before delivering them to our shores. a prime example of this is the Dragon Ceser, AKA the Dragonzord from Power Rangers season 1. the Senti version of the toy was so much better than the POS we got...also, the pink Shogunzord is really supposed to be white and representing the Falcon

In the show, the rangers got their zords because Rito showed up and destroyed the thunder zords. So Zordon sent them to find Ninjor to get their new powers. Rito and Goldar destroying the command center was the final episode of mmpr before it went to zeo
i do recall white falconzord lighting up at the tips and making noise, I think that was a battery cover you just needed to keep trying

Lord Zedd kidnapped Katherine, not Kimberly, if I recall correctly. Kat was Pink Ranger by the time of the Shogun Zords.
I do recall the red Ninjor repaint, it was in the Ninja Storm line and he was called Ninjakon, i saw it at Wal-mart years ago.
Have all the shogun zords, with box, needs the weapons, have the ninja round about here somewhere, and the falcon to go with the shogun thank you for taking me back to being a kid agiain!

In the Japanese Kakurangers version, they actually ride on top of there mechs like actual ninja style.

Also in the sentai there was no pink shogun Zord and that's why you see the white Shogun Zord in mighty morphin do a crane stance

The pink shogun zord was actually white in the series and the pink ranger and white ranger would share the zord.
I always liked the Shogun Zords the most, it just looked a lot cooler than the other ones except the White Tiger Zord and Dragon Zord. They were fucking sweet.
if you haven't figure out yet the falcon zords wings (where the rockets would fire) can light up i think other parts did to but can't remember.
I always found it funny that the shogun megazord toy in america had a pink zord when both the japanese and american shows as well as the japanese toy had a white zord.

2:30 - I'm pretty sure you were supposed to have the arms extended downward for the Ape Ninjazord form. And yes, the swords go with him. And yes, those two swords do combine for the Ape Ninjazord specifically. They don't go with any other form of the Ninjazord team.
The black frog shogunzord knocks over the pink shogunzord. It is like: "Kat, get out of the way!"
the falconzord had electronic in the Japanese version but for some reason they took them out in the american version. the wing missiles would light up and it would screech like and eagle.

I was reading on Wikipedia, and apparently the Crane Zord was originally for the white ranger in the sentai series, and obviously so was the white shogun zord. The Falcon Zord was an independent zord and didn't belong to any of the rangers. Remember in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, there was no pink ranger anywhere. So I'm assuming the Falcon Zord was the equivalent to Titanus or Tor and that was the final piece to the ultrazord for the shogun & ninja megazord.

Ninja Megazord reminds me of Kakure Dai Shogun from the 1994 Super Sentai Nija Sentai Kakuranger along with the fact that Ninjor reminds me of Ninjaman, Shogun Megazord is orginally known as Muteki Shogun, Ninja Falconzord is originally known as Tusbasumrau though Titanus (o.k.a. King Brachion) was only featured in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger in 1992 in Super Sentai retrospect.
Fan Theory: Given Mickey Mouse now has the Power Rangers working with one of his divisions, which I call the Disney/Fox division, which is the division of the franchises that have been sold by Disney to Fox or vice versa, such as Narnia, Star Wars, and X Men, Bugs Bunny made sure use of the Ninja Turtles and gave them the tools they need to combat the Megazord: the Jeager from Pacific Rim.
The movie edition of the falconzord had the electronics in it, but the mass release for the show did not, I had both versions. Kept the electronic one on the shogun megazord so the wingtips lit up for the gun look.
one thing i will mention is that the blue and yellow shogun zord weapons combine to make their own weapon.

You might have figured this out by now, but just in case you didn't, the red ape Zord's arms can extend downwards making them longer in zord mode if you like. Great review tho! Ninja Megazord is one of my all time faves!
i seen where the japanes release of the falconzord did have electronics.that small ilittle taphump that raises in the middle of the centerpeice of his back,well that was a button that when you pushed it,the missiles would light up with sound.
