Sara Ramirez is one of the best vocalists (and talent) I have seen in 20 years.....she rivals (and better I think) Patty LuPone in my mind. YOU ROCK Sara.

I saw this at the Actors' Fund benefit performance when many fellow actors were in the audience. The audience literally leapt out of their seats for what seemed like 5 minutes with roaring cheers and deafening applause that one rarely experiences ever. A true show stopper for the ages. I still get goosebumps when I hear Sara belt out that song. I really can't imagine anyone else doing such a truly exceptional job. Simply spectacular.
When I always watch this Sara Ramirez's performance i feel moved at the end , i know this is a comedy play but i´m mexican and for me it hurts when people think that we are not able to do a lot of things but I know we can do whatever we want and Sara is a perfect proof of that, Viva México!!
@Jordysegs89 Whitney, even with the amazing voice she had, she was a powerhouse singer, a lot of PH singers don't have to felixabilty to sing in a legit tone and/or be comical with the voice. Plus, she didn't chops to be a stage actress.

She did musical theatre numbers all the time. Cinderella, “I know him so well” from chess just to name a couple. She absolutely could’ve done this role and Elphaba if she wanted to
