Chiefs fan here. Dude should definitely be in Donald's spot for least year. Donald is elite, don't get me wrong, but you gotta give respect to tying the record for most sacks in a season. Had he not missed those 4 games he could have easily put up 30 sacks.
As a ravens fan who hates the Steelers I think he should be top 3. Look at how easily he dominated my ravens “o line” last year. We needa double him instead of put practice squad linemen 1 on 1 against him.

Watched a bunch of Steelers games with my family. TJ is something else; people talk about how he tied the record while missing games but not about the amount of blatant holds on him that aren’t called. Could be #1 and you’d hear no complaint from me.

Fun fact, whenever you see a lineman's arm around the rushers neck, 99.999999% of times its because of a Rip move, and that specific move is an explicit exception to the holding rule. The rusher is essentially putting the O lineman's arm around his neck in that case. And Watt does like 90% Rip moves.

I love how the players speak about him with absolute respect, but the VO is talking about how "he's not the biggest or the strongest" .. He's 6'4 250 with insane explosiveness and a 37 inch vertical. He's a lot more than just an undersized guy who just never gives up like he's presented here. He's a physical freak, too.

What people don't realize is Watt is really strong against the run too. He pursues the backside as well as anyone and is just as tough to run into. Last year with 2/3 D-linemen out, that was easy to miss on if you look at just box scores with the yards gained. His pass rush draws the ooooosssss and ahhhhhhssss, but the dirty work he does in the run game very underrated because of the pass rush highlights he generates.
I’m a Colts fan who has a long seeded hatred for the Steelers, but I wouldn’t have been mad if TJ was #1. The guy is unreal.
What did the Steelers do the colts ? Outside of that one AFC championship game.
@@TeamMD0 2005 AFC Divisional Playoffs is what started it for me. I was 12 and the only football fan in my family, but I convinced my parents to take us to a pizza place so I could watch the game. For some reason the pizza place in southern Indiana was packed with Steelers fans. At the end of the game I was surrounded by drunk Steelers fans jumping and yelling, bumping into my seat. It’s like a core memory for some reason every time I see the Steelers play.

Not that it really matters, but out of the 17 clips in this video he was only doubled or chipped 4 times. He also is only lining up against right tackles, often the lesser skilled tackle.
