February 2022 Stage IV Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (spreading to Brain, and other parts of lung and lymph nodes)
Gene Mutation EGFR with Exon 20 Insertion
TREATMENTS: Received or currently Receiving
2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)
CURRENT TREATMENT:
I am on a clinical trial for my specific gene mutation

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

Now the Christmas town has more meaning. I started following Jenny less than 6 months ago, I feel like I have to go back when I’m ready and watch from the beginning to see more of the real Jenny, a person that has touched so many.
I was just going through and saw a picture that looked like Jenny. So I stopped to look at it and sure enough that’s our beautiful girl.❤❤

Jenny, .... electrolytes --- make sure you aren't depleted after dealing with the issues you are going through --- being down on those will make you feel weird and cause tons of other symptoms. Your tenacity through all this is inspiring!
I hate that this sickness took such a sweet caring mom wife daughter etc from us we know ur still around bringing strength to Kyle an the kids we sure miss u jenny
Kyle is such a rascal! Always makes me laugh. I'm sorry you're not feeling awesome today, but hopefully you can manipulate your diet to minimise the side effects, at least a little bit. I'd like to guess what your bucket list item is, but since I've no bloody clue, I'll say... reindeer riding?? Is that a thing in the states? Total shot in the dark. Happy vlogmas day 6! I miss you so much ❤ We all will meet one day. Love to you all . i know 2023 this year will be difficult, but when my daughter passed away in 1999 from terminal brain tumor and our Mother 2 months before her with Lung Cancer (smoking LC) unexpectedly we didnt feek much like decorating for the holidays and we did anyway for our 3 little tots & 2 elementary kids and our new born (he was 3 months by Xmas) so what we did is we got our smaller tree and done the best we could. My brain was still in shock so I dint remember much of that year. The children however were happy. The ones old enough to understand about Grandma and their oldest sister took it hard. It was difficult, but my kids got me through it, kept me busy, especislly our new baby boy whom was born with Down Syndrome. Hes the one that helped me get my mind away from dark places. First it was God that helped me get through all that and then our children. The older daughter helped her Mommy Immensely. As Lee got older (our Down Syndrome son ) he helped me so very much bringing so much needed Joy to our home. He is a complete blessing. They all are. And Leeah (the one that passed that june 7th 1999 at 04:30 on a Monday.) So we were blessed with 7# children. I couldnt of of made it through without God and my beautiful children. The terminal brain tumor gave us PTSD though. Each one of my children were scared they were goung to get one when they turned 18years old. I ended up getting an MRI because I was terrified. My daughter suffered with this brain tumor. Its called DIPG or Pontine Glioma 💜🕊 💟 miss my mom and my daughter and now Jenny 💖🕊🐞🌹💖

I love who you are. I am om a cancer journey of my own. We washed all the coverings in the living room..(dog hair). I was the one to put it back. It was hard for me but I got it done. Now we need to go to tree farm and get tree, it's a process.

Regarding your nausea, would you be able to drink warm ginger water? It’s basically steeping either grated ginger or a small piece of ginger in hot water.

you can take Imodium every day. Beans, no. I have Gastroparesis and I take Imodium almost every day. If I am going to be home I don't but anytime I go out to eat for sure I do. Also if that doesn't work well you can ask your doc about Lomotil. You guys have such fun days even if you aren't feeling so great.

Love your Christmas Town, you put it in a great spot. When my friend built her house she had a 'Christmas Town room' built at the top of the stairs. It was an extra large, wide walk in closet with double doors. The doors were kept closed until Dec 01 when Christmas Town came to life an was on display for everyone to see. Inside there were shallow shelves that lined 3 walls from about a foot off the floor up to eye height. These were capped on the front with short ledge to keep items from falling off. Shelves were lined close to the ledge with tiny lights to make the town glow. Hidden plug ins allowed for everything in town to light up & operate. Once Christmas season was over the doors were closed to keep the items protected & dust free. It was truly a magical spot! Feel better soon. Hugs to all.

Jenny, so nice to see a memory. Especially right on Christmas. Bucket list, well it must be flying in a balloon over Santa’s North Pole. I will look at a star in the southern hemisphere close to Antarctica and give you a wave. I don’t know if there will be any southern lights, they look like purple curtains.

December 6th is the Feast of St. Nicholas! In Germany, the kids put their shoes outside the housefoor and St. Nicholas comes in the night and gills them with treats!
You are such a lovely family. I admire the way you go on and live your life with so much positivity but also very honest and you don’t close your eyes for the truth. Also for the children you two try to go on as normal as you can but you don’t keep the truth from them. You both are so sweet and supportive to each other, it is a very emotional rollercoaster when you get a cancer diagnosis.
