Great drills...one of the best videos I have seen. For the guys who are saying pushing off is illegal, this is true but I think what he is trying to show is how to defend against a push off by the receiver on a defensive back. We all know receivers are known to push off.

+Kesean Caston Conner That's all they they do! Love that he is drilling for it rather than teaching after it happens.

Odarris Dhaiti...Its about being proactive. We know receivers try to use every advantage they can get. If you dont coach your guys about every possible scenario then we are doing them a disservice. My goal as a coach is to put my guys in the best situation to be successful.

I'm a first year coach. So I'm watching and reading a lot of things to help me improve. Trying not to just depend on my knowledge from my college playing days. Thank you for any and all pointers.

i'd like to add to Kesean's point about being proactive. It starts with being organized and systematic with your teaching. Ensure every player:
      1. Learns the fundamentals of the position
      2. Is proficient with the basics before moving on to the advanced skills
      3. Gives maximum effort every rep
      4. Strives for perfection
      5. Is a student first athlete second

Close the space out between you and the WR when that ball is coming. Get in his circle before you jump

After looking at drill tapes, they all started to look the same - until I saw this one. I will give the staff at Colorado credit, they're doing drills that nobody else is doing and trying to be progressive with their approach. I've copied a bunch of them just to keep it fresh with the players.
