Insider info> Special settings for road courses= Manual transmission, Stability limited, Brake assist off. Tires15 lb. Springs 0% Wings and sway bar 100%. Do not adjust 1st and 2nd gear. Adjust 3rd and 4th gear by lowering gears 3 to 5 clicks as needed . Learn how to drift. Driver Tip: " Up shift to pull out of drift and gain traction" Great challenge and it handles like the real thing! . You can also set "Stability" to off position for ultimate challenge! Awesome game!
The worst part of EA Nascar, was that you could wreck about 10 cars, and all of them are extremely damaged, and they are still in the same position they were in when the crash occured. also, you always have to cause the crash if you want a caution. it was just a really bad run from 06 to 09
NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup is the best with NASCAR Thunder 2004 A REALLY CLOSE 2ND, I've had and still have many sleepless nights with those 2 games, 2005 mostly though.
@NalusVee you can run about any paint scheme you want in iRacing, there are painting templates on the website. I must say though, paint scheme options are (imo) not a factor when deciding which racing game is the best

I don't find any excitement for NR2003 graphics are bad, physics are absolute shit, the damage model is a joke, the career mode is just like a season mode. NASCAR 05 is the best in my opinion

It was a steering wheel thingy that you could plug into the television, something similar to PlayTV Baseball. I never played it, but I saw it being sold in Boscov's the one time in the children's toy's section. It was during the time when Carl wasn't in EA's NASCAR games.

for nascar game history you have to go back to 1994 when papyrus began making nascar simulations, anything after 2003 when papyrus lost the nascar license is just a joke.
04 was the best, the career mode was awesome(and was actually a challenge), even the way you unlocked any one of the MANY paint schemes on the game was fun

NASCAR 2001 on ps2/xbox through NASCAR 07 on ps2/xbox were amazing! Then the last good one for me was NASCAR 09 on ps3/360.....ETXs games just...they arent completely terrible but I hate how the cars flip like bricks instead of well like nr2003s natural car movements.....and the damage is just unrealistic....not the dents but the tearing like paper....

'Cause 06, the cars were everything but drivable, 07, the restarts were terrible, 08, the COT was generic, and the acceleration braking and steering were WAY to sensitive. 09 was the biggest joke of them all. Realistic damage? HA! That "feature" sucked. Every car, even the Nationwide and Cup cars were generic. And everything else was just awful. NTG 2011 wasn't bad, but I feel it's still missing something.

thunder 2004 = best career mode ever made, and nascar 09 was probably the best multiplayer ever made with glitches that EA did not want to patch.
A mix of Nascar 04, 05, and 11 is needed

Nascar Video game history should be Nascar Racing by Papyrus in 1994 to Nascar Racing 2003 Season in 2003. That's the era to remember.
