Having a moderate understanding of how induction motors work makes this far more satisfying to watch 😂
The high silicon steel sheet makes excellent transformer and motor stator cores because of its high magnetic permeability. It creates an excellent magnetic circuit, and I believe that because the silicone content raises the electrical resistance it has higher efficiency than a carbon steel can.
I love the way the scrap from the massive sheet punch folds itself up in the recycling stillage.
That would be SiliCON, and element, not SiliCONE, a man made compound.

Si steel has lower hysteresis losses. That's why it's used in AC induction machines.
I seem to remember from my younger days that with transformers the layering of sheet steel or iron is not necessarily to aid construction but to guide the magnetic flux lines which makes the whole thing more efficient.
I suppose it's the same here?

Nice details and explanations. I learned a few things, and I am a retired electrical Engineer. One thing, though, this is a high quality steel, would likely go back to make more of same. Would be a waste for rebar and not likely right for structural members.
That high quality steel took energy and other resources to make. It will be sent back to the steel plant as clean recyclable material, labelled as such and the make up of the steel so they can make more of the same. Rebar and I beams from that these days 😱😱
The way these machines sort and organize is a dream for anyone who loves order. Absolute sorting sorcery!

I began my engineering career over 40 years ago at the Westinghouse Heavy Industrial Motor Division in Round Rock, Texas as a mechanical design engineer. This video brought back a lot of memories.

In the early days of electronic computers, up until the 1970's, "Magnetic Core" was a memory technology built out of thousands of little ferrite toroids (donut shape, 1 donut per bit) I guess not too many people remember that usage of the term anymore.

I was surprised when you said they make rebar and beams out of scrap steel. Isn't electrical steel too high in silicon for that? I remember playing with transformer laminations as a kid and they were so damn brittle, they would crack after several bends and had crystals visible on the fracture.

So nice to see person using traditional skills like adding separators to welding machine (absolutely vital) andbthen essential testing, plus later banging wires with a hammer 🔨, carefully and with precision ❤. I remember learning some 25 years ago that the sum of all industrial motor and lighting efficiency was so low, it could easily be doubled, effectively gaining whole new industrial capacity ‘for free’. This really intrigued me. What we are seeing today is likely some point in that process which has even found further gains and continues to be a force multiplier in industrial processes.

Всё понятно создали асинхронный ротар. Просто не показали создание статора и намотка его съемника. В школе надо было не спать за партой. Уроки физики. Мне на истории было скучно, а всё что можно сделать своими руками да ещё и в домашних условия. Это вообще классно
Во-первых, ротар - это певица такая.
Во-вторых, вероятнее всего это все же синхронный генератор, ибо асинхронные генераторы - крайне специфичны в использовании и редко применяются, особенно в машинах большой мощности. То что ты счёл за беличью клетку - демпферная обмотка. Для синхронных генераторов она является относительно специфичной, но в целом в самом деле применятся для гашений возможных колебаний при резком изменении электрической нагрузки. Для двигателей же она почти обязательна, но уже для раскрутки при отсутствии устройства плавного старта.
В-третьих, в школах почти не изучают электромеханические преобразователи в подробностях, разве что вскользь упоминают их отличительные качества. Не думаю, что в корейских или иных школах этому уделяется больше времени.

That press must get a major workout stamping all those layers of rotor and stator core. I'm unable to tell if this design is brushed DC or synchronous AC or three-phase AC A.K.A brushless DC or whatever else, but it's interesting to see how these things come together.
Classic AC induction generator for power plants. The ratio of bars between rotor and stator is usually a ratio of large prime numbers.

Good video , but I don't see them put insulated lamination on each plate so how they reduce or avoid eddy current effect cause of overheat on stator core

Can't roll the little bits?
Its easier to handle since it is still connected.
@@nathanieljames7462 the little bits on the stator were seperated into a bin as well, they just rolled the parts that were still connected, which the rotor also had

Думаю, что там снизу набор катушек (электромагнитов), которые по очереди включаются с разной полярностью. Подобная система используется в линейных актуаторах. На ютубе есть видео об этом " Linear Motors | How do they work? "
Где они берут электротехническую прокатанную сталь ? Алюминий я видел в одном видео про Корею в слитках с клеймом РУСАЛ

원리는 뭔지는 잘 모르겠지만... 얇은 철판이 겹쳐질때 나는 소리가 너무 좋아서 끝까지 봤네요 저 얇은 철판을 하나하나 옮기는게 손이 많이 갈텐데 작업자들께서 고생이 많으시겠어요
간단히 말해서 전기를 흘려보내면 자기장이 생성되서 도는 원리입니나. 테슬라같은 자동차가 이런 원리죠
