I put my recovery tank in a bucket of ice here in Phoenix we get 115 to 120. It works just fine and you don’t track all that money in the customers house when you have to go inside their house.
I tested with just one bucket with ice, ambient temp was 109°F in Texas, no molecular transformer and it kept the psi to 165 at the tank. 5 ton system residential.
i dont cool my tank and on a 90 degree day i can still recover in at least 30 mins. might seem like alot but when im doing a full change out i can definitely get alot done while the old ac is recovering
On my way to that kind of job I know I’m going to recover on a hot day. I stop by and by 10 pounds or 20 pounds of dry ice crush it up in a bucket with your tank in the center fill it up with dry ice.. Cut your recovery time by two times faster
How long does a set up like this take? I’ve been working for a company and they expect very fast set up and work done ,I’m not sure what to expect for a professional setup but I want to do things like this . Any tips for a new tech in the field anyone?
Ice works if you want to be in that big of a hurry you get paid a hourly rate right or put it back in the condenser than do it at home maybe doin this for thirty yrs I know a little bit
How much gas is in that unit. 🤔 if that recovery machine is going off on head. It crap. Use an Appion recovery machine. If you recovering more than 20 ton unit use a CPS MT69 Molecular Transformator.
for the love of god do NOT do this dumb shit the last thing you want is your tank to explode on a hot summer day INSIDE your van because it is OVERFULL
Just put it in a bucket and change the water when it gets warm, a lot less wasted water, and less of a mess.
That's right 🙌🏻
Exactly. This is an example of why people hate service techs.
@@Mojo32 don’t call them when your ac takes a shit
Us commercial techs use a CPS Molecular Transformator Sub Cooler and a bucket of ice or water. Far less wasted water.
Ding ding ding.
If you do have to waste water like this, at least use a flat plate. Vapor moves way faster through a flat plate w the counter flow
Got 1 an use it. an made a few before buying that one which is compact.
Least someone said it
Exactly its awesome and it doesn't make a mess.
Shit. Duct tape and a couple cups of ice.
I use a bucket of water. Nothing like walking around and working in a river!
Another tip! DO NOT HAVE YOUR EXTENSION CORD LAYING IN A POND OF WATER!
Bucket of ice works with no mess lol
Ice costs money. Not cheap after 4 bags of ice every day for 4 months. The mess does suck tho.
CPS MT69 Molecular Transformator and you don’t have a mess.
Glad to learn this. We're doing a recovery of R22 this weekend, in.110 degree Fahrenheit Dallas. Thanks!
Put your recovery tank in a bucket and dump a bag of ice over it. We do this in Phoenix Arizona a lot lower temperatures are 115 to 120.
And it’s a lot less mess
You can put that tool in your helmet and coldown with this heat 😂 great video Zac👍

Absolutely. Who doesn’t love a mess right where you’re working.🤣😂
Really neat stuff man, thanks for your videos, I’m located in Tennessee too!
Thanks man you always have awesome techniques that actually work!
i just ordered that cool presser! i cant wait to check it out.
feildpiece rocks

Used to put it in bucket of ice water.
Yup lots of water. When I lived in Dallas ice works great

He was a good creator and now only creates commercials.
I like to make a nice moat around my work area to to ward off bad spirits and aggressive wildlife
What about a subcooler and ball valve that's what I use
In the old days, we used to a buy bag ice, brother.
Very nice
The way this man is with his tools how does he NOT have the cps transformer?!! Love the Chanel though 💪
recover into the red side of the bottle has a j tube to the bottom
Be nice to have it trickle in a bucket & cut slits at the bottom to drain slowly
replacing the water at the same speed denying temperature change
Wasting water get a 3/8’s copper roll it into a bucket connect hoses from gauges and recovery tank. That’s it
Thats COOL 😂

also this tool is ment to cool down overheated compressors not to make tank bombs
These recovering compressors don't have a condenser inside them???
I have done the ice trick along but I'm a commercial tech wish I had water access so I can get this tool😢
Used to work for Agas what supplier did you get the tank from
Are you recovering through liquid or vapor
We’re to buy this tool
Ice works if you want to be in that big of a hurry you get paid a hourly rate right or put it back in the condenser than do it at home maybe doin this for thirty yrs I know a little bit
A bag of ice will work even better, less mess.
Why didn't you recover through the liquid side and turn the bottle upside down?
Liquid has a dip tube which restricts refrigerant flow. Vapor side of tank has none.
What water hose do you use?
I live in AZ and never see techs cooling tanks off for residential and it's 100°+
Bucket with ice like a keg way better way less mess
Where to buy it 😮 from
5gallon bucket with ice will cut the time down
Molecular transformerer unreal purchase don't need water or ice to recover
Now you have a hugh mess. Imagine if it was dirt around the condenser freaking mess
I always go with a bucket, making a mess in your workspace
I put it in a 5 gal water bucket
This is why people hate service techs. What a waste. Ridiculous.
Necesito empleo

Lmao why am i seeing this
Maybe don't flood the homeowners lawn
Too much work
Once my Socks get wet Im Done.
Just put it in a bucket of ice.
Lol
I'm scared of this advice.
for the love of god do NOT do this dumb shit the last thing you want is your tank to explode on a hot summer day INSIDE your van because it is OVERFULL
Messy
Looks messy
I just vent that refrigerant stuff
It’s faster
Do the swap and move on
I don’t even own a vacuum pump
It’s faster and easier
😮
EPA violation, if someone films you and reports you, it can result in a big fine and or loss of your license
@@stephenscott4959 yes but it’s faster , I got things to do
